Salons

Re: Salons

I have a real problem with poor service…and I almost always complain if I’m not happy…! Heck I’ve worked in the service industry too and I always made sure I gave 100% to customers, why should I settle for less if I’m a paying customer too…?!

The most recent incident was when I got my hair cut after a looong time because I had been growing it. I booked an appointment at my regular salon, but during my long absence, my usual stylist had gone away on Maternity leave…I urgently needed to get the cut done and didn’t want to compromise on quality, so I booked it with their Style Director - ie. top top level stylist…

In short she bodged the whole thing up…she got scissor-happy and cut off waaay more than I asked…the entire thing was uneven…at the time I thought ‘okay maybe she hasn’t blowdried it properly’…so I checked it out properly when I got home…once I saw the extent of the damage she’d inflicted I actually cried…:bummer: sad I know, but it looked blinking awful!

So the next day I went back and asked to see the manager…she looked at it and was appalled by the rubbish job the woman had done…I refused to have it fixed…like ‘heyall no! I’m not letting you people go near my hair again!’ Apparently they don’t do refunds as a general rule so I contacted their Head Office…gave them what for and got a cheque in the post a week later

I went back again when my usual stylist came back and was given a huge discount too by way of apology…so really it does pay off to make it clear you’re not happy…if you’re paying your hard earned money for something, why you should you settle for anything below quality…?
