The man died for rightousness. He stood up for what was wrong. What we all know in the back of our heads is WRONG. The person who killed him was wrong. Clearly we have a picture of who is a villain in this matter, and it is not Mr. Taseer...It's that sunni religious fanatic Qadri.
By this definition alone he is a shaheed. He knew something was wrong. He stood up for it and legally tried to challenge it. For this, I commend Mr. Taseer.
I didn't like the man. But he is dead now so I wont say anything more about him other than that he sure did have a valid point. The blasphemy law is being use by Mullahs and all the jahil badmash people of Pakistan to kill other people, to sign off their own personal grudges.
widely known TLK in his last few weeks everyone in PPP had distanced themselves from him prob except Sherry Rahman. Sherry is now facing death threats and may well leave the country..it is not like she can rely on policy security after all!
