When I heard this guy was made the Governor of Punjab, I was extremely disappointed because I hate this man with a passion- corrupted, a big time womanizer, and a highly arrogant jerk.. but I guess that's what Pakistani leaders are usually like. He's nothing more than an alcoholic socialist and since I know his kids personally, what the writer said about his family turning the governor house into a party place is sadly a true fact. His family lacks any kind of cultural values or manners.. while taseer and his wife indulge in extra marital affairs quite openly, the kids do drugs, get drunk, and party with random people all night long right in front of the parents. When you see a man not even being able to control his children or instill basic values in them, what good do you really expect him to bring to Pakistan? Shame on these people, they deserve nothing but the worst in life.

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders on Monday condemned a smear campaign against Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer and said mudslinging and abusive language served no democratic purpose. They condemned attempts by vested party and media interests to malign the Governor’s children and family.
They were responding to a press conference by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in which he had shown a picture of Governor Taseer with family and friends at a dinner table with an alleged bottle of alcohol on the table.
PPP leaders Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan and Qasim Zia said political differences did not justify use of offensive language towards people’s families. “Even the worst of enemies show respect towards each other’s families.”
They said their own family values stopped them from publicising scandals of Sanaullah’s own political leaders.
Taseer belongs to a noble and renowned family, they said, adding that people could not be fooled with digitally-altered photographs.
They said the governor was playing his constitutional role in Punjab and no one could stop him. “Giving advice to the chief minister is the constitutional privilege of the governor,” they said, adding the letters of advice the governor had recently sent to the Punjab government were in accordance with the law.
“Sanaullah should study the Constitution of 1973 to know about the constitutional status of the governor,” they said.
Meanwhile, members of opposition in the Punjab Assembly reacted very strongly to Sanaullah’s use of offensive language against Taseer and his family in the press conference.
Legislators including Najaf Sial and Samina Khawar Hayat said in a joint statement that “the murderers of women’s rights” should “look at the character of their leaders” before issuing “abusive statements about the mothers and daughters of noble families”.
“People still remember the stories from ‘Honey Bridge’ to a house situated near a telephone exchange in Gulberg,” they said, adding that promotion of mudslinging would end up in “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar”.

Aalsi, thats a good question, HOWEVER I would say it becomes a public issue if all of this is being done on state expenses, even in the confines of the Governor House. The pictures of his sons and daughters however are something that shouldnt be used against him.
Remember, we spoke out against that 'mujra' session in the Army House where CBR guy Abdullah got drink and started dancing like a lady infront of President Musharraf (who later joined him) and Shaukat Aziz. This is no difference, i.e. if this alcohol and lavish parties (shown in the pictures) are indeed coming out of Pakistan's pockets, then the media has every right to flaunt Taseer.

He is right, America should not have created a digital 9/11 all the videos are fake, no building collapse, right mister Taseer? Dude grow up, not everything in the world is "digitally altered" stop covering your crimes.

I am not fan of taseer, as he is corrupt to the core, but this thread started with link to his much of private and personal family life, no one has right to teach them how they should live. so close his non sense thread.
and who think all the politicians and all the commoners who can afford and want to drink, they do it at their will whenever they please. his sons and daughter has own private life as individuals and all the the pics could have taken from parties and friends gathering and school swiming.

Not too many posters here are PPP fans, but this thread is cheap shot at best. Grabbing pictures of young sons or daughters of a political opponent and putting irresponsible labels on them is just wrong. Plain wrong.
Not sure what is the intention of this thread. The link shows good looking young people enjoying their life. Yes there is one picture where grown ups are sitting around a large dinner table enjoying. None of them is indecent, and their table is similar to a middle class Pakistani wedding party.
Lavish or not, the pictures are comparable to a decent family get together in a typical Western suburb too.
And most of the posters on this forum do post from the West if not from Western suburbs.
If you all can tolerate that in your own city, in your own country, why do you want to nitpick on Pakistani families living in Pakistan.
Do I sense that you all expect Pakistani youth to grow beards, wear burqas, and commit horrible crimes like 7/7 bombings, or self-burning of Glasgow airport doctors?

Well, i agree that photos of his family shudn't be discussed BUT drinking alcohol by muslims is illegal in Pakistan and if he is drinking in governors house then he shud be prosecuted and important thing is to know if liqour has been purchased from people's money.

Shak Anti, I agree posting pictures of his daughters was really uncalled for, but you have to realize that pictures where his son has whiskey bottles on display at the Governor House sends across a very bad note. The amount of money that is needed to run the Governon House expenses belongs to Pakistan and its people, and if its use on a banned substance, he should be held accountable.

Seems like this guy 'Salman Taseer' has pissed off some indian/MQM agent's @$$ by his action or word hence this 3rd rated styled propaganda against him by using his family pictures. The way his family's personal pictures have been put up on the net and the 'labels' given to those pictures, the language used (typically indian styled) is a proof this is an indian/MQM agents generated propaganda. Very very similar in nature to the negative hype against Imran Khan's past private life which was being spread by indian/MQM's agents a few years ago in Pakistan to undermine his popularity (by using the fanatical side of religion) just because he (IK) is true to PAKISTANI nation.
The real patriotic Pakistani people wont give a damn about how his family dresses up, where they party and who they hang out with. As all the loyal Pakistanis are concerned with is the progress of the nation/country. This kind of cheap stunts on Pakistani land are always generated by indian/MQM agents to achieve on or the other political agenda in their favor (through using a handful of fanatics amongst us). As these pictures are nothing but quite a normal sight of Pakistan's any decent middle class family's social/school/college/picnic gatherings. I am sure most of us here would identity with these pictures.
I am sure by investigating in depth about who is behind this propaganda, probably we can get to the bottom of it, why it has been initiated and what and whose agenda it serves. I am sure it serves some indian agents agenda as generally Pakistani people are not so morally declined to play/start these kinds of low rated stunts against the most corrupt politician (by using his family's personal pictures).
If he is a corrupt leader, I am sure he is not the most corrupt of all the politicians then why is it only his private life is being used against him (Just like IK)? There are another few thousands in the dirty pond. Why are they not being exposed? Are we really concerned with the personal lives of these leaders or what good they are doing for the nation?
Why is it that the most corrupt and incompetent politician in the history of Pakistan was made a leader and no Pakistani could do anything about it? Why is it that a terrorist organization is being given a larger representation of the government? Why is there nobody to raise a voice against that?
As I've said many times earlier and I repeat. Pakistan is being run by indians (through the major foreign powers controlling Pakistan through traitors and thugs). Pakistan is heading to towards doom day by day.
The only picture that made it to the Punjab Assembly today was the one with him and alcohol in the premises of the Governor House. The rest were up on the internet for 2-3 weeks.

i dont know yours but these arent common in our family or any family i know here and if some of them are like that they are not taken as normal.
this needs a set of mind to think it as normal drinking this way with your and your freinds wives around worst of them all is attitude of theirs.
