i agree completely. people who are rejoicing his death among my family and friends do not believe him to be blasphemous (the real motive behind his killing) but rejoice nonetheless for reasons such as he was ‘corrupt’ ‘immoral’ ‘drunkard’ ‘atheist’ ‘womaniser’ etc etc basically he was made a scapegoat in venting all the frustrations ppl have been harbouring against this govt. otherwise might as well kill 90 % of the politicians in pakistan then for similar reasons

This is what I think. Less to do with a person or even the law and more to do with negative sentiments towards the govt.

If you want educated ppl to act educated. you got to present them with third option in such strong situations.

Which was not there. So I am not surprised to see even educated pakistani tend to find fault with salman actions.

My thing is monk that it is unfair for us to call those people uneducated just because they support Qadri’s action. We don’t live the life of a common Pakistani so we cant feel the way they feel and if we cant then we cant judge them based on what they are feeling.

this attitude isnt just with religious killing.. I know people who feel completely okay with giving a high moral ground to an ethnic terrorist organization who they are claiming has killed fewer people than its rivals.

People have been supporting honor killings for long.
