So I was watching GEO news, and they said PCB has finalized either Razzaq or Butt will lead Pakistan in the T20 WC.
Seriously, just when you think PCB for once has done something right and taken a step ahead by banning the likes of Malik and Yousuf, they take two steps backward. If true, this has to be the worst possible news ever for Pakistan cricket…especially if someone as pathetic as Salman Butt is handed the captaincy.

yaar hammad ne rbs t20 mein kuch khas nhe kya .......he needs to be groomed .......butt is way better than farhat .......he was the leading scorer for pak in test series against australia...

Butt it not T20 player. But it sounds like PCB wants to name a captain for all 3 formats. That's stupid. Look at all the other countries, Aus/Eng/ they have different test and T20 captains. Salman Butt does nto deserve to be in the T20 team. It's the same what they did with Shoaib Malik when he was made captain. He didnt deserve a place in the test team yet he was made captain. Same mistake coming here all over again.

He left his city team when he wasn't made a captain. What will he do if he is not made the captain of the national team? Play for England perhaps? Both of them don't deserve to be made captain.

I think for the sake of unity of the team and to avoid further groupings, we should stick with Afridi as captain. Otherwise, it'll get worse in that locker room.

Butt is not a natural T20 player, but given the volatility at the top, it might be useful to have a batsman who can stay a few overs. We have plenty of others who can smash the ball around.
