You see, I have been viewing this forum for the past 4 days and everytime I logged in, I had a desperate wish to make my presence felt by a “dhamaake daar” entry to the Gupland, maybe in a la Dhoni style (I’m bad with comparisons, sorry!) but was scared if I’d end up doing nothing but creating headlines for no reason (read: Deepyy-ka-dard!).. Then I thought of coming up with a profound post about the ever- existing -but -highly- neglected aspect of the Indo-Pak friendship thingy but then that would make me look like an unacknowledged writer trying to show off her dexterity with pen! Determined yet, I felt like telling you all how the 2004 Indo-Pak match series got me baptized into a Pakistani or better still, express my love and undying feelings for the Pashtoons of Pakistan (esssspecially Shahid Afridi..) because I’m somehow one of them but I remember one of Umar Sharif’s anecdote, “Cricket, ye game to hai mardana lekin pasand aurtein karti hain!” And for the latter thought, I’ll perhaps be the billionth girl, with more to come, who is mesmerized by that sexy bearded guy… And I just cannot afford to come up with hackneyed phrases about my bandagi with Pakistan, pasandgi with cricket and dillagi with Afridi in my very very first post itself!
So to cut it short, Gulnaar from Mumbai has finally arrived at this really dandy gala of people from both sides of the border, hoping to rejoice in the revelery; dwell deeper into the cultural aspects of Pakistan with an unprejudiced mind, a heart that is already beating for you beautiful people and a soul that got connected much before this item got completed!
Your intro is one of the best i have read till now. Wish you best of luck, betestest of gupshup moments and yes wish you meet Shahid Afridi in real life … whenever u see him, give my salam too
Well, this is the finest portal I've ever been to! I wonder how can a place be so lively and brimming with enthusiasm...I mean, Masha Allah, maula nazr-e-bad se bachaaye!
