Queer and Nova have right to believe in what they want to believe in. Actually I agree with Nova's sentiments that it is more important to respect your fellow citizen then to show devotion God- which none of us have seen.
Most of the God fearing people on this thread have resorted to bad language and put downs to prove their point and show their love for God....maybe they think it is okay to be intolerant and abusive if they are defending GOD.

sorry if i hurt your faith, all i wanted to do was to show you that you have hurt mine. i believe in humanity to be bigger than any God, and i didnt like the way you put down doctors in your attempt to flatter God. you can sing all the praises you want to remind him that you are his humble servant, but please, dont use others as stepping stones for this kind of toadiness - especially not doctors, many of whom have spent a good deal of their life saving others lives. i dont see why i shouldnt protest when such people are being discredited of the fruit of their labor with inane comments like "docs grab the fee but God saves lives". i dont think even God would like that.

if you cant love your fellow humans, i doubt if your love for God is really love. if God created me, he also gave me logical reasoning power, and i find that there isnt any conclusive evidence for the existance of God. if there indeed is a God, he expects you to be use your gift and respect folk who serve mankind rather than worship Him, whose existance is beyond logical proof. first your fellow creatures, then God, if you get thru the first stage.

Our ancestors were very strong people they fought back...read Sikh history, written by a neutral party (english) not distorted and fabricated one taught in madrassas. I will seriously advice you to read real history. It is not good to be so ignorant.

Unfortunately, I started a discussion on the basis of “neutral” history. But one of our gupshup friend rejected it for obvious reasons. If you want discuss “SIKH” history on the basis of “NEUTRAL” facts, then be my guest. Not like him, who try to present something in his own font, like its gray and large and has trunk and has large ears and is the symbol of American democratic party, .... but it’s not an elephant. So be precise and share facts which are acceptable to a average human intellect… calling names and cursing each other, is the most easiest thing a person can present.

agreed... some of them screwed up badly. while they should have been busy preaching Islam to others they were actually building taj mahals for their wives.
rani, if they werent tolerant why would u see so many committed muslims coverted from your own clan. if they were all looters and murderers as you portray them to be how would they leave a legacy of so many muslims converted from your ancestors? im no big fan of the kingdoms that ruled india but u will be kidding ur self if u think they werent powerful enough to annhilate all the hindus.
