Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

As-salam Aalaikum

I hope this won’t be too controversial. Insha’Allah.

Don’t you think us Pakistanis have gone too far away from Islam?

Why are we so immersed with the lifestyle of the West and India?

Just look at the TV channels. What have we come to? We don’t need to borrow/copy ideas from American, UK, Indians, etc., basically, the West. As more and more media exchanges are made through TV, Internet, and such things, we, the youth, of Pakistan are shunning our beautiful old traditions and indulging in these immoral acts without even realizing the harm.

If you ask any Muslim in Pakistan, young or old, male or female, the question: Islam first or Pakistan first? I’m sure most, if not all, will say that our religion Islam is more important to us than our country. We’re Muslims first, then we’re Pakistanis.

  • Why has it become “cool” to act like those people in the West. Can’t we be a good Muslim and still be cool?

  • Why are there so many useless shows on TV?

  • Why are there so many disgusting dance shows, dramas, music videos, “relationship” shows where Muslim men and women are doing such shameful act that if the were to do this few years ago, there would be a huge backlash?

  • Why are our women shamelessly displaying themselves in front of the whole world, wearing reaveling clothes as if they were some Bollywood actress?

  • Why are the men not growing a beard and wearing Sunnah clothings, rather they want to dress in tight jeans and T-shirt and be clean shaven like Bollywood actors?

  • Why can’t men lower thier gaze and women cover up like a Muslim women should?

  • Why is there so much free-mixing in public places, like colleges, parks, on the streets? What happened to sharm and haya as a Muslim, as a Pakistani?

  • Why are the people, esp. the youth, indulging in haram relationships like boyfriends and girlfriends?

  • Why are there so many unIslamic rituals in our weddings?

  • Why don’t our women wear the hijab? Hijab is FARD!

  • Why are we not praying 5 times? Salaah is FARD!

Especially, the last two points. There’s absolutely no excuse for not doing those two things. We’re committing a major sin by neglecting our fard responsibilities as Muslims.

We believe in Allah, sure. But, why don’t we obey Him? Are we not afraid of the anger and punishment of Allah? Are we not afraid of Jahannam?

Let’s try a little experiment:

*Light a candle and put the tip of your index finger on the fire for 3 seconds. I’m sure all of you will pull out your finger. It’s too hot for you, isn’t it?

Now, imagine Allah throwing you in the Fire of Jahannam. This time it’s not the tip of your finger, its YOU! This time you don’t have the choice to pull out! This time you get a new skin after you’ve been roasted by the Fire!*

No one has been promised tomorrow. If we don’t want to go to Jahannam, just remember as long as you are alive, you have a chance at gaining the forgiveness of The Most Merciful!

Don’t you think it’s time we come back to the Straight Path? After all, we’re in this world only to please Allah.

May Allah guide us all and forgive us for our sins.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Ok, I havent read all of the post but I agree generally that we have gone astray. It's a shame. Truly.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Here's how I think of it: God is LOVING and he isn't going to put anyone in Hell because of that. God loves his children and there's just no way I can imagine God giving ETERNAL punishment to his children.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

So, you can disobey God and He'll love you and put you in Paradise?
What's the point of worshiping Him then?

Are you a muslim, by the way?
No offense, it's just that you said god loves his children.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

in Islam GOD IS NOT JUST LOVING he also the who destroy people on commiting sins and if a peson dies as doing shirk he is going to hell forever other major sin he can forgive also not forgive

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Peace! & :wsalam:

:jazak: for shairing. We have given choice either we choose the right or wrong path. Shaitan (Iblees) hav permission to astray us till the day of Judgement and shaitaan and its followers will not stop astraying us. Its all depend on our faith (Imaan) and our faith comes if we understand our religion (Deen) and to understand our religion, we must struggle to learn it as well as to teach it.

Ameen!!!

@Unos according to the following hadith from Sahih Bukhari Book 'To make the heart tender (Ar-riqaq) Hadith No. 575.

“Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet :saw2: said, “I know the person who will be the last to come out of the (Hell) Fire, and the last to enter Paradise. He will be a man who will come out of the (Hell) Fire crawling, and Allah will say to him, ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will go to it, but he will imagine that it had been filled, and then he will return and say, ‘O Lord, I have found it full.’ Allah will say, ‘Go and enter Paradise, and you will have what equals the world and ten times as much (or, you will have as much as ten times the like of the world).’ On that, the man will say, 'Do you mock at me (or laugh at me) though You are the King?” I saw Allah’s Apostle :saw2: (while saying that) smiling that his premolar teeth became visible. It is said that will be the lowest in degree amongst the people of Paradise”.

All those muslim who astrayed from the right path will complete their terms according to their sins in hell but eventually they will let out from hell and will be given place in heaven although some sins (**Shirk, Gunnah-e-Kabira) **are non-forgiveables.

Bro Unos! above u used **God loves His children. **I knw what ur trying to say here but the word children is not appropriate word to use especially when u write **GOD. **In future plz use God Loves His creation rather then children.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Waiyyak brother.

I think it's time to wake up the nation.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

what a massive generalisation.

how about you worry about yourself, and then worry about the other pakistanis who have gone so astray.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Which part do you disagree with, brother?

What did I say that made you say this..."how about you worry about yourself"? =/

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

never said i disagree with anything, i said it's a massive generalisation. are you accountable for how they perform their duties as a muslim? i'm just saying it's easy to write essays on what pakistanis are doing wrong rather than looking a little closer to home first.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

So, you agree that this is happening in our country, right?
And I think we can all agree that is is wrong.

So, why not do something to change it?
Why not make Pakistanis realzie that this is not how we are suppose to live? This is not what Islam teaches us.

I'm not accountable for their sins, but it is my duty to enjoin good and forbid evil as a muslim. There's nothing wrong with calling others towards the Straight Path and telling them to stop acting in such a way.

As for home, Pakistan is my home. That's why I'm here, and so worried about my Muslim brothers and sisters in Pakistan.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Indeed its sad state of affairs in Pakistan and the reason is not that women dont do parda or men wear t-shirts. The reason is oppression, exploitation, injustice and cruelty. Remember, a country can sustain with kufr but cannot sustain with zulm.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

↑I might have to disagree here, bro.

As far as I know, no one can oppress you or be cruel to you if you practice your deen fully in Pakistan. Maybe, in the west, you might get stared at or be a victim of rascist remarks, but not in Pakistan. Pakistan is a Islamic nation, Alhamdulillah.

Not that I'm trying to justify the corruption that oges on in Pakistan, but if we really want to practice Islam to please Allah, that corruption, injustice, can't even touch us.

When you're striving to please Allah with your actions and when Allah, The Creator Hmself is on your side, then what can His helpless creation do to you?

Our good actions should start from within us and then spreadsto others.

By the way, I'm not attacking your post or anything, so don't take it in a negative way. This is for everyone.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

ou havent understood what i meant and i dont think its worth trying.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Try explaining a bit more, I'll give it a try to understand. Promise. :D

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

zarvan ali is starting to sound like a sufi saint compared to this one...

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

As others have mentioned above, sir, the general state of the world is such that what seemed well and good 10 years ago seems not so good anymore. We all change, and yes, change that occurs with loss of values can be detrimental. However, we can only change ourselves before we try to reach out.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Yes, good point.

We should start with ourselves first. Then, what are we waiting for? Even if the world around us is changing, then let it change. Just because so-and-so is going the wrong way, we don’t have to follow him.

We have been given the clear guidance of Quran and Nabi :saw2:, that’s the best path to take.
If we don’t act, then who will? If we don’t try to change the environment, then it’ll just get worse and worse.

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Yes, you can disobey God and he will put you in paradise. After all, we are all human and we can make mistakes. For example, if you as a child do something wrong do your parents punish you for your whole life? No, they don't, they just punish you for that one time and teach you how to correct your behavior because they love you and care about you.

Again, I don't believe God will put ANYONE in hell as no one deserves eternal punishment. You have to remember that God is loving, and putting someone in Hell is not something a loving God would do.

God doesn't need to be prayed to, but there is no harm in praying. People do it for spiritual satisfaction.

No, I'm an Ex-Muslim and follow no religion. But I equally respect all humans regardless of whatever religion they follow. :D

Re: Sad State of Affairs Pakistanis

Well, it is kind of difficult to make you realize the importance of following Allah and His Messenger because you're not a muslim.

I wasn't talking about mistakes. I meant, things you do intentionally. Why would God put you in paradise when He has made rules for you to follow and you intentionally don't follow them? Wouldn't this be unfair to those who followed His commands?

Take this scenario:

There is a very good student in a class and then there's one who's the opposite. When the time for the exams came, the good student did well and he got a good grade. And the other one failed, because he didn't strive for it. So, the teacher passed the good student because he did his duties, worked hard, and earned the passing marks. Now, would the teacher pass the other one who failed is exams and did nothing in the class? No, he would fail, or it would be unfair to the one who did the work.

Life is a test, too. We're here to follow the rules of Allah, so we can pass this test and go to Paradise. And for the disbelievers, the punishment is the Fire.

Allah has said clearly in the Quran that the disbelievers will be in Hell forever.

It can't get any clearer than this:

*“Verily, Allaah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell). Wherein they will abide for ever, and they will find neither a Wali (a protector) nor a helper” *[al-Ahzaab 33:64-65]

Allah is The Most Merciful, He is Loving, indeed, but not to those who don't even believe in Him.
How can you say a person who didn't believe in Allah, disobeyed His commands, does not deserve the Hell?

As for praying, it is the obligation of every Muslim. There's no two way about it. This is one of the rules that must be followed. Where did you get the fact that there's no need to pray to God? As you were a Muslim, you must know that prayers are a must.

May Allah guide you back to Islam before it's too late.
