People who dont know where their next meal will come from don’t have fantasies. They have societal pressures and traditions and customs

Shud I say sad or do I need to utter the word plain stupidity. The later is better as they had hardly passed that age where they can’t get a rishta. The act seems out of pure fantasy where girls dreaming about come prince charming. That is why tolerance and patience is considered to be a great virtue in Islam.

the root cause of the problem in my opinion is not letting women work or women not wanting to work. I mean a father can only work for a certain period of time if a daughter is unmarried why not let her work & earn her own living ? similarly why do girls sit at home doing nothing thinking that to earn money is not our job ? I have seen completely illiterate girls earning fair amount of money by working at homes , factories , schools etc. Our beloved prophet’s wife Hazrat Khadeeja used to make her own living , even at that time women earned their living.

This incident is very sad & words are not enough to condole it but people really need to empower their daughters by letting them earn with respect & not letting them feel that they are a burden on their parents & brothers.
