I dont think any other region other than that forming Pakistan has gone through so many invasions in history.

Maybe, but as far as I have been able to dig out I can safely say that the areas constituting today's Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India have been invaded maybe more than any other area in the world. It was continuous for centuries and centuries, and look at Afghanistan and Pakistan even now. The strategic location which should have been a plus point has proven to be a curse for these countries.
