quality of singers is suberb here ... now i think except mauli, deol and joy everyone is superb
Abhijit was ok but his good performances were never highlighted cos of some mind blowing performances by some one else.
vishal - shekhar and to certain extent bappi da , are reasonable with there points. It seems to me that HR is trying to improve his image with some really generous marks and no conforntation attitude :-)

MUMBAI: Renowned and eminent cricketer, Kapil Dev, is our special guest for this week (Saturday’s episode). Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 celebrates Independence Day Special! Kapil Dev gets very emotional on the sets and enlightens everyone on India & Pakistan’s relations. Be it culture, people, habits etc. everything is same but the only thing that separates us is the border. This episode being Independence Day special, all the contestants pay tribute to their mother land by singing patriotic songs.
When we asked the Pakistani participants, Amanat Ali, Junaid Sheikh & Mussarat Abbas, to sing Indian patriotic songs for Independence Day special; they refused to do so. We did respect their decision on this and finally they sang Pakistani patriotic songs.

Mauli Dave would make a good 'unusual songs' singer She sang Shakalaka Baby lovely!
Sumedha, Raja Hasan and Mussarat - they are good quality singers - but mussarat I have not seen him singing low pitch songs..would like to see him singing soft romantic songs as well
Aneek and that Deol guy - how do you find those - they too are good. Aneek is versatile

Raja is fantastic.
Mauli can only sing those loud nursery rhyme type songs. She won't be getting out anytime soon though.
Amanat is great!
HR and ID give points like they are throwing rice on someone's wedding day. The show has too much drama which is sad since it is should be focused on singing more.

yeah, i think only V & S give deserving marks.
Bappida is irritating when he keeps on repeating "Accha gaya" "OOur achha gaa sakta tha" "dekho kitna marks mitta haai" "Hom eetna khussh haai ki zee saregamapa ne eetna aachha platform diya haai eeen singers ke liye" "Mera India ka Saakira" blah blah blah.

seriously, he cant speak Hindi/Urdu !!! i think he has rehearsed that some lines to speak . even Aneek's Hindi/Urdu sucks !!

I havent watched indian tv in the past 8 years however this show has got me glued on all its clips on youtube.
In my opinion Junaid is the best among the guys. He might not have the skill of Musarrat however he is extremely versatile. I havent seen him one song where hes gone out of note. Musarrat on the other hand CANNOT sing pop and his low notes suck. So Junaid first closely followed by Amanat Ali from dubai.
As for the females, the one and only worth mentioning is Sumedha Karmahe (Chattisgarh ki barbie doll). When i first saw her i didnt want to listen to her cuz prejudiced that i was i figured shes probably in cuz of the pretty face. But it seems shes much, much more than just a pretty face. oh, i think Mussacrat's Pak devortional song was the best among the Pakistani trio. but then he sang Fakhir's song !!!! one of my fav Paki singers !!! he is better than Aslam anyday.
i think Raja was the best on the show.
well i do think Mauli cant sing the classical/semi-classical songs.
Poonam was the best among the galz, but wats irritating is that she begans telling tales of her misery on every single eposide !!!! i mean, kamse kam eek eposide toh chordo !!!

I think Mauli was only good for that one song Maiyya, after that she really hasn't sang outstanding. I think Raja and Amanat are the best! Who do you think is going out next? I hope it's mauli...A part of me thinks Mussarat might end up in the bottom three due to him forgetting the words to his song.
