Qazi had this way of talking which the people liked i guess plus he was a kashmiri...i guess some people wanted to prove a point that they liked kashmiris hence made him the winner and obviously the kashmiris themselves must have voted for him as well..
He was also pretty goodlooking too:) which kinda helped him win along with his charm like you say. He had mostly all female fans in love with him I guess:D.

he is a great discovery in the world of Music
In my honest opinion, couple of years down the road, he has EVERYTHING that will have his name written right beside such greats as Rafi, Talat, Mukesh and Kishore
Every song that he has sung - he has done full justice to it
and contributed a bit more to the original…

*The results were based a 100% on the basis of nationality. I can bet you my bottom dollar that Amanat would have taken this thing by a landslide had he been an Indian. Simple as that. Oh well, I am confident that Amanat and Musarrat would turn out to be much bigger stars than the ordinary Aneeks and Rajas.

It is sad that Amanat did not win this contest and it was somewhat expected but all Aneek did was win a contest due to votes where as amanat has already become a star as he has contracts with some of the few big music directors as playback singer, so in the long run amanat did go miles ahead of ANEEK and RAJA(hindustani).

If it werent for this Indian show ,you guys would'nt even be discussing about Amanat and Musarrat.All these talent shows are merely popularity show.Talent has no place here.
One of the regional channels in India has a show called Star Singer.All the singers there perform to the level of Amanat.The judges grill them on classical technicalities.They sing songs in Hindi,Malayalam,Tamil. Here the judges rate them first and then the SMS polls are added to it.
I believe such types of shows does justice to talent.

he was not at all good looking, and one of the worst singers of FG.

well, Aneek won.i know talent wise Ammant should have won the show. i was a Aneek and Amanat fan, but HR made me hate Aneek. but people here are reating queerly. if Amanat was the best singer, that doesnt mean that Aneek was the worst!!! he was a good singer. he had the charisma and that cuteness and that appeal and the enlongated puplicity thingy by the Lizard King(HR, if you all couldnt guess it) that made him the winner. see, almost every celebrity guest was bowled over by him and was a favorite of them. whenever Aditiya would ask any celeb guest who the spark of the eposide was, they would all say that all are good blah blah blah.but the only time any celeb named a particular contester, it was Aneek.
i am just happy Raja didnt win. he should have been the third one.
and please dont bring religion here. if religion was the thing, then there would have been 2 hindus and 1 muslim on the top three. if a hindu won by mistake, its a shame for the secular image of India!

i would like to comment on a poster who said that in the past too, most of the times Bongs won SRGMP,some time un-fairly. well, the voting thingy started on the show from 2005. before that, the judging was made by a panel of judges. so if Bongs won, it was judged by the legends of the music industry.
and you gave II too as an example. well, no Bong have won it so far, so chill.
if Amanat lost then itz not the end of the world for him or for you. he would get the biggest of offers from Bollywood.but you all should stop blaming Indians,Hindus or Bongs if your fav didnt win.may be you didnt voted much.may be they voted too much.and as for the records, i didnt wasted a cent on voting for any three of them.

If this was supposed to be the world cup singing contest, it should've been held in a neutral country not India, Pakistan or USA.
That would've been fair and the only way that voting would be possible is through online voting for all participants from all countries involved.
I'm just wondering has there ever been an international show like this where there was public voting involved? I don't think there has been.

i really wanted amanat to win but it wasnt gonna happen...atleast he got appreciated by the judges and mentors...he got the least about of votes from india but i was still surprised how many votes he got from there. the winning margin wasnt by thta much....and i also think aneek has a really good voice and his sur taal is pretty dman good too
