She doesn’t sound all that smart to me. To be fair to her though, it does sound like you were partly at fault for feeding the whole materialistic nature of the relationship. You wouldn’t have mentioned Gucci watches and the like, if those things weren’t of interest or importance to you as well. Hell, I bet the two of you frolicked on wads of cash.
