@Samir_Mirchandani

But if you are objecting to Allah being prayed to in the presence or location where other Gods are prayed to (mandirs) then by the same token mountains, trees, grounds, water etc should also be objectionable because worship takes place there too!

This is why location form etc should not become constraints for one who really believes in God

110% agree location not matters…but…if we make a practice to pray in a temple…that CAN lead to a major sin…

The poverty rate between Hindus and Muslims is not at all what some think the dramatic gulf it to be. By 2011-12, 21.9% of Hindus and 25.4% of Muslims were below the Tendulkar poverty line. Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Castes were actually the worst off at 43% and 29.4%.

For decades Muslims simply did not send girls to school at a much a higher rate than the others.

Institutionalized discriminiation as an exception may be but not the norm - Pre 1990 IMO was a different story with huge differences in poverty rates.

Here is an eye opening study by two Columbia University scholars- and an extract that should dispel the uninformed:

“Perhaps the single most striking feature of this figure is that the poverty ratio for Muslims has fallen below that for Hindus in as many as seven out of the sixteen states for which we are credibly able to estimate the poverty ratio for both communities. The eight states are: Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu. In four of these
eight states, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the poverty ratio for the Muslims is below ten percent. In the fifth, Gujarat, at 11.4 percent, it is only marginally above the ten percent mark. Among the ten largest states by population that exhibit higher poverty ratios for Muslims than Hindus
are Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.”

very nice & brief information :k:
