Went to Pakistan in Royal Jordanian back in Nov 2004, from NY, landing in Amaan (change of air craft), and then stop-over in dubai and then to Karachi... not bad.... but not something extra-ordinary either... seemed like Gulf Air or Kuwait airways when I had travelled with them back in mid to late 90's

AQ- gulf air went horribkly bad in quality very quickly, or maybe I became more picky but its service in early to late 90's was a diff of day and night.

I travelled to Amman on Royal Jordanian a couple of times last year. Can't say anything bad about them, except the fact that it took them more than 3 months (!) to refund one of the tickets that I had to cancel.
And since X2 mentioned Gulf Air: I've had the displeasure of travelling with them twice in the recent past. And I will never ever commit that mistake again. It's one of the worst airlines I've come across in terms of customer service. No exaggeration.

i travelled with gulf air last year...my last flight with them was in 1989(bad experience)
and the service was really good in 07 still the same tooooo long stop overs though air crew n service was good..muscat airport gets boring after the first hour so 5 hours really pushes ur patience

^ I was 8 when I travelled to pakistan in Gulf Air, stopping for change over in Muscat. I don't have any good memories of the flight either.
