rough hair

hey ladies

I was wondering if u guys had any tips for very rough hair since I have very rough hair ? and few days ago I heard few people talking abt glycolic peels and they said it makes u look fair;but I actually was wondering if it does which I think it doesnt.

Thanks

Re: rough hair

Mix coconut, olive and black seed oil together. Apply that on your hair twice a week for 2 hours. Do not put the oil on ur roots. After 2 hours, place a hot towel ( dippd in hot water) on your hair for 20-25 minutes and then wash off :)

Re: rough hair

wat does rough hair have to do with gylocolic peels?

Re: rough hair

I too have very rough hair, kya hai iske nuske :)

Re: rough hair

Hi,

The suggestion of coconut oil is actually a very good one... remember you only need a tiny bit otherwise your hair may still look greasy once you have washed it out!

Have you tried using a different shampoo? I found that my hair was quite dry and decided to change to a different shampoo to see whether it would improve. I now have lovely glossy locks!

Re: rough hair

glycolic peels has nothing do with it but I just didnt wanted to have another thread on it.What do u guys think abt glycolic peels though, have anyone of you tried it?

for the rough hair, personally i’m not a fan of using oil.

try Aveda’s dry remedy treatment masque.

Condition your hair with oil. When you oil your hair.......you'll notice that the texture of your hair seems softer even while you're shampooing.

Some people might recommend coconut oil (I personally find that it makes my hair dry). Olive oil and or mustard oil work best for me. I just massage my scalp with the oil for a few minutes. And then I pour some oil onto my palm and make sure to coat my hair from roots to ends with the oil. The ends of your hair need conditioning because they are prone to getting split ends. Keep the oil on for about 1-2 hours and then wash out with a good shampoo. A repeat washing might be required to get the oil completely out.

Apart from the oiling your hair, you can also try using a shampoo designed for dry hair. There are so many varieties to choose from. Keep in mind, that the season is changing. And in winter......hair is more prone to being dry.

About using peels for your face: Don't do it by yourself at home. Always go to either a dermatologist or a professional aesthetician. People have messed up their faces by meddling with at-home peels. Believe it or not.....skins of various races have different qualities. And my dermatologist has even told me that certain treatments are either more or less appropriate for Asian skin. A professional can assess your skin and apply a chemical peel of a suitable strength.

The purpose of peels is basically to exfoliate your skin and bring to the surface newer skin. Newer skin looks more smoother and fresher......thus giving your skin a glow and clarity. I think the reason why some people say that peels give you "fair" skin is because the DULL skin has been removed.....and has been replaced by a more clearer and glowing complexion. Having glowing clear skin is ALWAYS a good thing but it should not be synonymous with "fair" skin.

Even a fair complexion can appear dull and unattractive. But clear radiant skin.......regardless of whether it is fair, tan, or dark........will look beautiful. So, I would recommend getting peels a couple of times a month as I feel they DO make a positive difference in the overall texture and look of the skin. BUT.......it should be done professionally. Best wishes :)

Re: rough hair

I forgot to mention baby shampoo. That doesn't have harsh chemicals in it. Apart from oiling changing to baby shampoo may do the trick.

Re: rough hair

^ In addition.................the lack of certain vitamins and mineral (I think vitamins B, zinc, and iron).............can lead to dry, brittle, and lack-luster hair.

So, make sure that you're taking a daily multivitamin containing the above nutrients.

Re: rough hair

wash your hair with lassi it will eliminate the problem

^Dairy is another remedy.

Apart from oil.....you can also condition your hair with yogurt, coconut milk, and eggs.

You can put a few drops of lemon juice in yogurt. Apply it to your hair. And when it dries, shampoo it out. Some people also mix henna in yogurt.

Eggs will also soften up your hair. BUT......add lemon juice to it to reduce the smell. And don't wash it out with water that is hot......because it can cause the eggy smell to linger in your hair.

If you don't want to use eggs (because of the smell).......then try mayonnaise, which also contains eggs (minus the overwhelming smell) and is also used as a conditioner.

Re: rough hair

if ur able to get ur hands on LUSH products, there are some great ones for rough hair, like H'suan Wen Hua (weird name, right?), which has eggs, bananas, avocados, lanolin, olive oil and rosemary oil in it. Its like a deep conditioning treatment... so you apply 15-20 mins before washing on dry hair, and then shampoo off as normal.

If not... coconut oil works for most ppl...
