Roman Urdu

How do you write some urdu letters in English so they can spell right. You know including me and other people write in Urdu and sometimes it really gets confusing which spelling is write so give some example.I know I can write some of them accurately so people can understand. P_G can write better then me. So lets start collecting some of them so we can come up with accurate spellings and people can understand it like
MUJHE
Hamein
aap key
and add more to list.

Re: Roman Urdu

I avoid the spelling that is also a spelling of an English word. For instance, I try not to say beta (for son) but baita .. as beta is an English word.

Also I try to break a big urdu word in syllables by adding an apostrophe where the syllable ends, for instance ki'ya keh ra'hay hain aap?

ہمیں

That is right Khumar but unfortunately you cant use that script anymore to search for Urdu titles (of songs or movies) on web. People use Mujhe instead of Mujhay and Saamne instead of Saamnay.

Re: Roman Urdu

istarah likhen urdu :D

Jummah should be like this or not juma because in urdu there is pressure on "meem" Thats what I think.

I think Mungal is right because if you use "U' sound it like "Umberalla" and it is ded correctly.

As TLK it should tou not “to” and meiy should be like that not main.:hehe:

JI nahi "Is tarah likhen " Alaidah alaidah ker kay :D to behter ho gaa.

You cant have U in both B*udh and Mu*ngal and expect different pronunciations.
