Roag

Re: Roag

Omg. I have read that novel. It was a great story about both male and female child abuse. And it was told in a great way. I have not seen the drama yet but I m guessing they are not showing the entire story and made changes to it.
Has anyone else read it? Cam u compare the novel to drama??

Re: Roag

Excellent drama and brilliant acting :k::k::k::k::k:

:hinna:

Re: Roag

On which novel the drama is based. Is it available online?

Re: Roag

No clue I read it in a megzine. I forgot the name of the novel also. I just watched all 4 episodes and that drama is an exact copy if the novel

Re: Roag

Again a gr8 episode. Shagufta Ejaz doing wonderful acting. Just made me remember her performance in Aanch. Brilliant work by Asif Raza Meer.

Re: Roag

Watched the post 10 year part of the episode and Great job! Both Shagufta Ejaz and Asif Raza Mir are doing really well!
I am glad Baber Javed has realized that when you are telling a story of a middle class family that you don’t have to put Oodles of makeup on them! Thank goodness for taking care of such small things otherwise they completely ruin the story for me (i.e. Imaan from K&M wearing full eye makeup at all times even while praying lol)
I’m forgetting the girl’s name who is playing the tortured one but so far so good :k:

What’s up with Faisal Qureshi’s character smelling everything? lol
Felt bad for the mom who lost her son and her daughter has to take care of everything - very sad :frowning:

Good to see Mohib in a bit of a light hearted role since the drama is very heavy otherwise.

Only pain point - Faisal Qureshi’s mark on his forehead. Sorry in bad taste IMO.

Re: Roag

^ Faisal Qureshi must be Ali (the little boy who dissapeared) when he is older.
I think he developed mysophobia because of what happened to him in the past.

Re: Roag

Gr8 drama. very good execution of a sensitive topic. Shagufta Ejaz rocks.

Re: Roag

no faisal is the guy that ruined nimra's life

Re: Roag

^ :hmmm:

now you say it, thats also a possibility…

Re: Roag

Im really impressed with this drama so far. There have been many scenes where i have actually wept. The scene where outside the school gates the father hugs nimmi was so touching. I thought it meant that the father has come to terms with it and he says so to his wife afterwards. So why did they suddenly show 10 years later that he still had issues with nimmi? I think faisal qureshi might be the little ali and the trauma has caused him to have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) hence the preoccupation with cleanliness.

Re: Roag

OH really??? strange since the guys at the shop looked completely different and they weren't kids either when they raped the little girl. Hmm...

The little boy who was kidnapped seems more like a possibility with his OCD - thanks guys for pointing that out :D

Re: Roag

I only said this because on the roag facebook page, they show faisal and the younger version of guy who did it to nimra in one photo. Also they show nimra(the older one) being held by faisal. Plus ali was around nimra's age so he should be shown as much more younger than faisal looks.

Re: Roag

agree! that scene made me cry so bad. cant wait for next episode!

Re: Roag

After watching this week's episode, it makes sense. Faisal's character is shown to own a store and his mom always says he grew his father's business so much so his father must have owned the small store on the street. And his behavior towards others that are not like him is just degrading.

The drama is tackling a lot of important issues. I hope it makes an impact on society but I have a feeling it won't.

Re: Roag

The story is really good so far, but I do believe the makers of the drama have made a blunder with the castings. The post 10 year story has the kids all grown up which is understandable, but why a different girl for an older sister of ali? I think she mentions to the guy that she has been taking care of her mother since her A levels, so the age difference just does not add up. And if faisal is indeed the rapist then that is very odd too since didn't his mother mention he is 20???

Re: Roag

^ No, she said 'tees', not 'bees'.

I dont think they made a blunder with the casting.
If only the younger artist would have been replaced by older ones and the actors who play the rapist and ali's sister would have remained the same, IMO that would have been weird. As if they did not age in 10 years.

So they did it right by replacing them too.

Re: Roag

^ that is the point that Im trying to make, that faisal and the sister do not look older and aged but More or less the same age as the characters they replaced.

Re: Roag

Oh hehe achha :)

Mere khayaal se, they do look older.

Young humaira did look like a 16-17 years old. And the new humeira looks older and she does look like a mother of few kids.
Also Faisal Qureshi looks older than the actor he replaced.

Par khair.

Re: Roag

story is moving on fast, i really like the way they have shown faisal Q. being a clean freak now
