roadrunner:kindly differentiate vedism and hinduism
Show me one other version of the Rig Veda that translates the Hymn of "the Rivers" so as to change the meaning.
the 10th mandal and 75th sukta of RiGVeda definately narrates about River

But again as I said previously, here one should understand that these are the specific qualities or materialistic properties of each river is mentioned by the divine Rishi...
I too have read Vedas under the able guidance of Acharyas...but due to lack of correct English words, I can't produce you the exact English meanings...However if you can understand a pure Hindi/Sanskrit originated words..I will give you the meaning below...

RigVed Richa: Mandal 10, Sukta 75 and Richa 1
" pra su va aapo mahimanmuttam, karurvochati sadaney vivaswatah,
pra sapta sapta tredha hee chakramuh, prasrtvareenamati sindhu rojasa"

Hindi meaning through Sanskrit :
(aapah+Va) inn jalo ki (uttamam) uttam (mahimanam) mahima ko (kaaruh) ritvig (vivaswatah) yagyaman ke (sadaney) griha mein arthat yagyasaala mein (pra su Vochati) boltey hain, yeh nadiya (sapta sapta) saat saat hokar (tregha) teeno loko mein/teen prakar se (prachakramuh) bahati hain.
(prasrivatvareena) inkey beech mein bahaney waali *(sindhu) ati syandan bahaav waali nadi *(ojasa) apaney vegbal se (ati) doosre ko atikraman kerkey (pra) bahati hai....

regarding above highlighted word Sindhu

the word Sindhu ---is from the word "Syandan"..which itself means a fast(teevra) flow..therefore the name of the river itself suggests How it's flow is!

But then what is your concern??, these are purely materialstic properties of these Rivers.

Lastly, if you have still some doubts, please stop reading Vadas from Grifith and Max Muller's English...you have to have learn either Sanskrit or at least Sanskrit originated Hindi words to know it's ""core"" meaning!
