Rivers/water is important for the existence of mankind, thats the reason why the civilizations developed around them. Rivers were natural barriers between different areas, hence mostly the people living on one side of the river had similar culture as compared to the people living on the other side.

Exactly… So how the culture of Lahrois living near Ravi is different from Faisalabadis / Chinyotis living near Chenab?
