And it is most difficult source to divide, Punjab and haryana were divided in 65 but there is no proper settlement of dispute among Punjab, Haryana and Rajsthan, no settlement of water between India and Pakistan, this is the only reason I oppose of partitioning any state further as dividing water is always a political quagmire.

Yes its religiously sacred as it is believed that it came in to being when the little Ismail (son of Abraham AS) hit his feet the scorching land of Makkah, while her mother Hajira (AS) was running between the hills of Saffa and Marwa in search of water. I read that Zam Zam lost its existence and the well was re-discovered just before the birth of the Prophet (SAW)
