Lady, you make it sound like women were served a course of ass kicking with every single meal. More than half the marriages are going straight down the ****ter. Are half of the ladies being abused by men? Are half of them in a situation where they have to stand up for themselves? Take your head out of where the sun don’t shine, a woman can walk out of a marriage with half of a man’s belongings and a nice monthly pay cheque. As long as a lady isn’t clinically insane she is sure to get child custody. Meanwhile the oppressors, the chauvinists, the abusers, they kill themselves way more often after a divorce than the oppressed.

I am talking about Pakistan. You think over here women get half the property. You think over here women don’t have to fight for custody.
Plus, I would agree that yes a lot of Pakistani women are being abused. Verbal/ physical abuse is way more common than you think.
First, there are no statistics. Second, even if there are how much abuse do you think ends up being reported.
When it comes to divorce men drag them to courts and take the family and their ex-wives to limits of disrespect.
I haven’t closely worked with these women but I have had lots of them as my patients.
And, it has always saddened me to see this situation.
And, as far as commiting suicide is concerned which also points out to them being unstable.
Last but not the least I am not saying that its always the man’s fault.
I am just explaining the reasons for the changes in trends.
Come on , I am sure you know in Pakistan men can get away with anything !
