Right age gap for marriage?

Re: Right age gap for marriage?

Traditional...hmm not sure there...but i think the "norm" thesedays is around 2 yrs. with the woman being younger...but i know of women marrying guys younger than them also. Most elders advise that the age gap be a few yrs., bcos in general girls mature faster...so sometimes a 20 yr. old girl is at the same mental level as a 23 yr. old guy...my parents r seven yrs. apart, to me that is too much! But Alhumdulilah, they have had a wonderful marriage...most of my cousins who have been married in the last several yrs, have all had a 1 to 6 yr. gap btwn their spouses...so it depends on the person too. Like, when i was younger i was almost positive that i wanted a guy who was not more than three yrs. older than me...even though back then, most guys my age were clowns...but the older guys seemed boring and too intellectual to me and i wud rather have someone by my side who can laff with me thru life...and, thank God i found a well-balanced man who just happens to be four yrs. older than me...but it varies a lot... so over the yrs., i've actually learnt that some younger guys r very mature for their age...n some older girls act like kids...so i don't look at the ages, or age gaps now...wot's more important, is how well they hit it off and attraction etc. :)
