What are the pros and cons of marrying a rich powerful man?

Why do people label women who like rich powerful men as materialistic or greedy? Could it be that those women are only looking for some security?

Well the women who stayed in the marriage with such men were looking for security.
The women who divorced them and left them not so “rich” were after money.
