What are the pros and cons of marrying a rich powerful man?
Why do people label women who like rich powerful men as materialistic or greedy? Could it be that those women are only looking for some security?

do not always put their personal relationship first
blue blood etiquette's can not be merely learn in few years, one need a few generations for it.
how will a women feel when his big shot husband is easily recognizable in public and approachable by hot ladies all the time.

well if you hang around the right crowds its easy to snag a rich/successful husband. In the 80/90s the whole purpose of women going to American or British equivalent Japanese ivy league schools was to snag a husband who would be a success.
The drawbacks of having a successful husband is that he won't have as much time for his family as an average salary man would but he would spend as much time as he can with you when he's free.
I had a friend who worked at a well known company and some nights he had to work late but he was on the phone with his wife when he had lunch breaks and he often talked to her while he was doing his work.

Actually you're mistaken :)
An average joe wouldn't be able to write up a nice reference to get another friend of mine into Lancaster university.
My dad would be the average joe :P but we're not really rich just upper-middle class.

the average joe was used in the context of people the kind of Du Ponts, the royal nobility & the men who live in villages like Tuxedo Park.
they don't give references they own unis like Lancaster for ex.

what kind of rich person are we thinking of...? because those who own universities are 50+! while my friend is only in his mid 20s. If we are talking about rich enough to own companies then the same thing applies.
You can be rich and have time for your family having money doesn't necessarily change anything.

there are men out there who are "rich" because they are super "cheap" and don't like spending.
Wish people realized that.

not precisely, i don't think there is any real nobility exist in Pakistan/India apart from few families one being Nizam of Hyderabad, who's estimated wealth was 2 Billion $ in 1940 or 2% of US GDP.

Hareem define rich please? Do we mean rich like old family rich? or rich like owning companies? or rich because of hard work? or rich because of budgeting?
A woman could go for a dying rich man because she would only have to tolerate him for a few years and get his money but she has to be incredibly beautiful and interesting enough to not be dumped.
Another woman could marry a man for his family title or to gain more power in social networks but this takes more time because she would need a good education and family background. She would also need to be in the right place at the right time.
Beauty I think does wonders and also having a brain works too. Its not that hard to understand why a woman would want to do this but nowadays men do this too.
They can't be moochers forever though.. the spouse soon wises up and demands more from her and it makes you wonder if lowering her standards could have made her happier?
