These pictures are of the funeral procession of Riaz Basra, one of Pakistan’s most-wanted men. I was surprised to see such a large gathering at his funeral and disappointed to think that some of these people might end up following in his foot steps.

I am sickened by this display of support for arch terrorist and murderer Riaz Basra.

Only in Pakistan will see such BS being tolerated. Imagine if they had a funeral procession for Osama right in the middle of Times Square!

This is completely unacceptable and this guy is no "poor soul". He is a convicted mass murderer who has killed hundreds if not thousands of INNOCENT people single-handedly.

Did Basra join in the procession for his helpless victims? Did he also feel sorry for his victims? Did he even care for the lives and families he ruined? NO.

Then why are we so willing to feel sorry for these scumbags? Do we need to have our own family members murdered in Pakistan to feel angry at this guy or is it not that every Pakistani should feel equally sorry for the victims and anger at these mindless murderess?

If the Pakistani government had a little common sense, they would have set off bombs at Basra's funeral procession. That would have taken care of a couple of hundred terrorists and potential terrorists right their.

And there is no showing mercy with these psychopathic Mullah Jihadi wannabes. These brutes do not understand the word "mercy". They need to be systematically killed. There is no other way to remove the Jihad out of a terrorist.

Salaam, I don't know about this guy..I have no clue who he is but the msgs that i read..some of them were with him..what i mean by that is even if he did kill thousands of innocent ppl, ppl still prayed for him, but some of them in other hand, tottaly don't care. In my opinion, though i don't know who he is, but i would like to say that who ever he is and whatever he did, he still was a human being.. We cannot judge for him. So whatever he did, we all should stay quiet because Allah is the only one who can decide for him. He is the only onw who knows everything.

So typical of the terrorist sympathizers in Pakistan and indeed on this forum. This same aphetic, only "Allah knows best" attitude towards murdering terrorists who use Islam to kill innocent people is the EXACT reason why there is so much killing and murder in Pakistan. Only a few brave people are standing up these people!

And because no one wants to blame anyone or wants to find out what is causing this murdering spree. They just want to go on with their lives not caring about the victims, just because it’s not them. It is because the Pakistani public has been thoroughly desensitized to this Mullah-induced terrorism that no seems to care about the deeds these jihadis do.

No, I refuse to say that. In fact I will distribute sweets and celebrate every single time these ignorant Mullah terrorists meet the business end of a gun. The village where Basra was killed celebrated his death and I join them on this celebration.

But I guess half of the Mullahs on Gupshup probably also consider Basra to be a great holy warrior of Islam who was framed by Mossad and CIA. In fact it is the Jews who are killing Shias in Pakistan, not the ever so squeaky clean and huggable Wahabis.

Riaz Basra and Osama Bin Laden are both heroes and poster boys of all Mullahs and this is why they get so upset when people celebrate their demise.

This terrorist should have been publicly humiliated even after death as a lesson to all who would ever contemplate joining this profession.

There should be some sort of standard treatment for terrorists killed. A regular funeral should be denied to them, and the body should be disposed of in an unknown location by the authorities.

Crowds must be prevented from gathering over dead terrorists.

Let's look at things logically.

  1. These people either operate on the premise that (a) they are doing God's work or (b) they haven't the fear of God in them.

In (a), they do not care what the world does for them or how the world judges them because they believe that only Allah will decide their fate. In fact, they likely believe that joe public doesn't know what's good for it and that we are all ignorant of the "true path".

In (b), they do not care how their bodies will be treated once they are dead because they don't have the fear of Allah or any such religious beliefs.

In both scenarios we have to conduct ourselves in the manner our faith guides us. So if you truly want to know what the method should be, look it up....investigate....and then decide.

Correct me if I am wrong for I make no claims to being a scholar on these matters, but I believe that Allah has already specified who is deserving of a funeral prayer and who is not.

Now if you are referring to a funeral procession, then I am not well-versed on this and request that someone post some relevant references to enlighten us all.

Because Allah has stated quite clearly that we cannot and are not to decide who is pious and who is not.

Only He can see inside our hearts. Remember...we will not only be judged by our actions, but by the intentions that drove those actions.

Of course I will not say that I am a supporter or partner...because quite simply, I am not.

Praying for Basra's forgiveness does not make me his supporter or partner. It makes me a pious Muslim because the most divine characteristic is to be forgiving.

As I see it, here are my options:

a) Take the side of being against Basra, abuse him and refuse to offer the obligatory prayers. In this case I have a 50/50 chance of being right.

Allah may support me and reward me.

b) Take the side of Allah, forgive Basra and pray for his mughfirat.

Allah cannot penalize me for my kindness and chances are He will reward me.

Now, which option is the more positive one?

That's all really nice, but if I came and told you that Sharon really is a pious and peaceful person and secretly a Muslim, would you also say "Allah knows best" and he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Will you all pray that Allah grants Sharon some mercy or forgives him?

The day I see some Wahabi Mullah saying that for Sharon, I will personally go and pray fatiha on Basra's grave. But it seems obvious to me that day will never come as there is a double standard when dealing with "our" terrorists and "their" terrorists. We are ready to so easily and quickly forget our terrorists despite the evidence that Basra personally took the lives of 300 people, but we are ready to condemn likes of Sharon and Bush, sometimes even without any evidence.

Terrorism may not affect you at all, but if one of your family members dies in a bomb blast or shooting, I wonder how pious you will remain.
