At one point, he replied to Dr Atta that just like in a regular car, the battery recharges from the running engine.
Dr Atta did no say anything. But actually in a regular car, the engine is run on petrol/diesel.
Thus it is petrol/diesel which recharges the battery. Secondly, the amount of input given by battery to run the regular engine is small because it is only used to run the spark plugs.
But what he is saying is that battery itself starts the engine cycle through electrolysis, and then the battery gets recharged from engine. This is what makes it a perpetual motion machine. And this is why it is impossible.
First of all, let me clarify that I do not have detailed knowledge of this invention and do not know if this is feasible or not.
Given the fact that this process has not been duplicated anywhere else in the world, I am quite skeptical.
However, I am shocked at Dr Atta’s simple misunderstanding and misplaced criticism.
There is no issue of conservation of energy or perpetual motion involved here.
The battery is only used for the process of electrolysis. Indeed, energy is conserved in this process. But this is not the energy that is used to power the car.
The car is powered by combusting the hydrogen that is produced by the electrolysis. That is a separate process. The energy of combustion does not have to be less than the energy of the battery.
Also, there is no claim of perpetual motion. The fuel, (i.e hydrogen) needs to be constantly resupplied via water and electrolysis.
In the end, there may be more complex reasons why this invention may not work out. But these simple criticisms are completely misplaced.
Had he been from Harvard with perfect pronunciation, wearing jeans and T-shirt, sporting a goatee and a buzz cut,
Replying to the very fundamental questions being asked from him would have suffice.
If one can not answer in proper engineering terms about the breakthrough invention he is claiming then it does not matter whether he has a perfect pronunciation, or whether he wears jeans and T shirt, or whether he sports a goatee and a buzz cut.

His process cycle starts by the electrolysis of water using the charge from the battery,
and then ends with recharging the battery by the output from the same cycle.
This is the start and end of the process. What happens in between is irrelevant. If the start and end of the process are self-sufficient then it is a perpetual motion machine, which is impossible to make.
It looks fraudulent to claim that it can be done without use of any gasoline solely based on water.
This process can be utilized to improve the efficiency of cars using both water and gasoline. If proper studies are done then it might replace CNG.
But then Afgha Waqar won't be the inventor of this process because such a process already exists, and is available for about $200 online.

But, it is not a CLOSED process. The fuel needs to be continuously resupplied.
Perpetual machine would be the case when water is used only initially for combustion and then there is no need. Here as krash is pointing out, the water is being used to provide fuel on continuous basis. What we need to find out is how much energy is used in separating H from H20, how much energy is used in combustion etc.
What happened to the older inventor/engineer who had returned to Pakistan from the UK and had done the same exact thing.
He was running a limousine with water.
He was on Noor’s morning show on PTV about 6 months ago.
Seems like he has been forgotten already and replaced by this new inventor with the same invention.
This guy was on Talat’s and Hamid Mir’s show on the same day.
Hamid did the whole show outdoor in Islamabad talking to the guy.
Nobody is saying that this claim was already made several months ago in Pakistan.
What happened to that older guy from several months ago ?
But, it is not a CLOSED process. The fuel needs to be continuously resupplied.
Water itself is not the fuel. They cycle does not start with pouring water. The fuel is hydrogen, and water is only its carrier.
Now we can not use hydrogen without splitting water molecule. And this is accomplished with electrolysis. Therefore electrolysis is the start of the cycle.
Without electrolysis using a battery there would be no process, no matter how much water is available.
Dr Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar claimed to use 40% diesel and 60% water. Now that seems quite plausible. But Waqar is saying he uses 100% water. That’s the problem.

But that still does not make it 'perpetual' machine because this still requires a fuel/source of fuel.
with time this will turn out to be a fraud. Scientifically its not impossible to have a car run on water but water has to be broken down into its constituents. however, where will the energy for its hydrolysis come from?
In response to Dr Ata’s focus on use of battery, he said something like taking the battery out of equation and having a capacitor with enough charge to keep the electrolysis on for three hours, which means you can drive the car for three hours. Does it make sense?
I want to believe this guy, but I am unable to buy his theory
In ancient Greece once all the scholars and people were arguing on number of teeth in mouth of horse, everyone have its claims backed up by the theory and the argument was turning into a heated debate when a young man proposed a simple and practical solution, i.e. let us count the teeth in a mouth of horse.... this solution instead of calming them ignited debaters uniting them against the solution provider and ultimately killing him for providing such simple solution
We are doing the same here... like i said, the guy is open and he is claiming that his invention works, whereas all of us here and other places are not looking into if the thing is working or not, they are all busy in theory...
What a messed up nation we are, we believe on promise of a politician, but we do not believe what is happening or what may can happen..
Using water as fuel is not a new concept by any means, yes this concept has been shut down by the mafias who thinks ( and rightly so) that their businesses will not see a daylight if this works, many countries who has their economy based on oil may not survive if something like this happen, may be there are some faults within the invention and which can be rectified, but yes a billion dollar propaganda is at work which says that that there is no alternate to the fossil fuel and whatever renewable are, they are all false or not good enough and we have millions who believe in such claims... yet they work their asses out to pay to these billionaires...
if hes just making up things... eventually truth will come out in next few days.
I would like to buy what he is saying and give him a chance to prove himself. btw, govt has shown support(which is unusual) Also, Abdul Qadeer khan said that he should be given patent right so he could further develop his work.
