How do you revise? What works for you?
Re: Revision
ummm.... can you elaborate a bit more... in what sense?
Re: Revision
Lets say you read a textbook and need to take as much info in as possible in a field that you know nothing about. Then you have to sit an exam.
Re: Revision
Depends on how much time is avalible. If time is short, i would read the abstracts/summaries of the articles/chapters.
Re: Revision
writing down the notes, just reading them over, and practicing!
organizing it alll into brain :|
Re: Revision
I dunno.. I had never really been a revision person...
always used to study a night before exam and just go-do-it-kindda-person :D
sometimes, I did revise... and it was like flipping the pages and checking them in mind "done, done, yeah, I know, good, done, done, done.."
Re: Revision
Writing notes and then reading them again and again?
What if your memory is not very good?
What about the environment? Whats the ideal environment for revision?
Re: Revision
oh i need music!

That's talent...passing exams without even revising :D
Re: Revision

only for mathematics.
Re: Revision

Re: Revision
passing with flying colors, may I add *ahem :-p
and for the rest of the subjects?
Re: Revision
Yea taking notes or highlighting the part that u think is important is the key.
Sit in a quite room with normal light and no disturbance.
Make sure u don't eat too much before u do it ... :)
Re: Revision
i do the exact same thing…
and ofcourse i have to understand the concept/meaning of what i am studying as i can never do raatas
.
Edit: It has to be done in a quiet and organized room.

or drink :D
Re: Revision
^^ It depends ![]()
Re: Revision
But we were brought up with the slogan “Rattafication is the best qualification for examination” ![]()
Re: Revision
Yes I think it is important to understand the concept/meaning. That is why when you do notes you write them in a langauge that you will understand (I think).
Re: Revision
Well ya one other purpose of writting down the thing you are trying to memorize is to get the idea/concept behind it and word it the way you want so that on the exam there are all the more chances that you wont forget what you wrote yourself.
Re: Revision
But than it ends there na at qualifying the exam and later on when you have 2 do job related to what you were taught u end up looking right and left
lol. I am totally anti-rattafication as i believe it is just fooling yrself and y bother study if it has to be done like that.
