Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

ok people If we could share what home made recipes we tried, How long we tried it for and did it work for u or not?

I’ll start

I have Combination skin with an Oily T-zone and my skin is also very sensitive with some acne marks… :frowning:

I have dark areas around the nose area and the chin, So I tried the Cinnamon and honey mixture which I applied only to the dark areas for 30 minutes, then scrubbed it off with my fingers and then washed it off with warm water. Its been 3 days since I first tried it out, and I noticed tht the areas have slightly become lighter and more evened out.

Today I tried Gina’s Ubtan recipe but added a few extra ingredients (which I found over the net) like saffron, neem, sandalwood and rose petals.

I left it on for 40 minutes then scrubbed it off, my face became quite red so I applied an Ice pack for 15 mintues (which was covered in kitchen towel). once I took the ice pack off I could really tell the difference. The dark areas where not tht noticeable and the ubtan left my face with a rosy glow, when I felt my skin it was really soft (usually it’s quite rough)

I am very happy with the results so far, will let u guyz know the results of my skin in a week or so

U can find all Gina’s recips in the http://www.paklinks.com/gs/wedding/274707-glowing-brides.html thread

Good stuff!!!!

I have tried her recipe for honey and lemon juice before and that has worked amazingly well.

I have also tried rubbing tomatoes on my arms after a really bad tan and that helped a great deal.

This isnt a recipe but I did take her suggestion on getting salicylic acid peels and they worked miracles...:)

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

^ wat did u used for salicacid

what is honey and lemon mask for???

^what a great thread, thanks guys, this is so helpful!

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

hey umm i was just wondering about this

for acne scars and other scars which combination is d best?

1)redsandalwood, haldi and milk

2) red sadalwood haldi and lemon juice

3)red sandalwood haldi and honey???

also how frequently should we apply that on the scars??? how many times a week?

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

Olive oil and sugar scrub, left me with a smooth and moisturised face afterwards. May not be best for those with oily skin tho.

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

I started applying the ubtan about 6 weeks b4 my wedding, and my gosh did it make a difference. my face had so many marks and spots and the ubtan really helped to clear it up.... along with the ubtan I was taking multi vitamins and drinking lots of water but the ubtan really did help

thnx alot Gina for me at least it worked, and im still using it with the orange juice as u suggested.

also im a fan of the cinnamon and honey mix really does help to even out the skin tone.

My advice would me once u start these home made recipes dont give up it will take time but u will definitely see the difference!

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

do ubtan from desi store work fine or you have to make your own?

Re: Reviews: Gina's home made recipes

I love the besan with lemon juice and haldi mask, it draws out the oil from my skin whilst making me glowwwwwwww! :D Thanks Gina!

Im not sure, best let Gina answer. But I dont see why not as I used Ubtan all over and it worked fine

I’ve never tried the ready made Ubtans tht u can buy in the desi shops, the packaging kinda scares me :bummer:
