Who cares, every1 will hav 2 answer 2 allah so live and let live and if any1 wants to help guide others on the right path then tell them (the person that u hav the issue with) but remember no ones perfect and relgiously we do alot more wrong and hurtful things than showing your arms (which are not ugly). And personaly i could look like crap, ie. Got the shop with No makeup, scraggy hair, crappy clothes and my dads slippers, but my arms may b showing i dont my image screams hey look at me fellars im gorgeus.

Aisha i wasnt fishing for compliments and i dont think am gorgeus at all but thankyou very much anyway. My point was sometimes i go looking like a scruff in ma jeans and t-shirt and hope i dont see anyone i know, so although my arms are showing im not trying to draw attention to myself, its jus casual comfortable clothes. No hidden agenda. Do you always wear long sleaves to your wrists?

yeh i know what you mean, there is a girl i know, she smoked, done drugs, drank, slept with a black guy she only met once at a shopping centre, i was like whaaaaat??? And then my mum said to me couple of years later that so and so’s daughter so good she wear hijab and jalbab (i thinks its called jalbab).

^^ woww... when I was in High School, this girl used to wear a burqa, and then she would come and take it off, you would see fullsleeved clothes and all, but she wouldnt wear a shameez under it, and it was seethrough, really disgusting.
Another girl wore a scarf and shalwar kameez, meanwhile she went about bragging how she showers with her bf, all sorts of things, plus she smoked outside allllll day long, cut class, and sidekissed every guy she came into contact with. Meanwhile there were other girls who wear tight clothes and halfsleeved shirts but could never imagine doing the things these girls did.
I think it all comes down to the two things I mentioned in other threads: people do things because they are forced to do so by their parents, and the second, that people are really boxed in at home, adn the second they have some freedom (for some, school is freedom where they go and hang out instead of go to class) they go crazy! they do everything they're not supposed to do.
Anyways, clothes dont matter-- I could be wearing the tightest shalwar kameez with the shortest sleeves, pray 5 times a day, keep my izzat intact by not acting promiscuously, while the most dhakkavi larki could be doing God knows what under the pretending to be all masoom in front of her parents just cuz shes covered.
Just cuz youre covered doesnt mean you have the golden pass to righteousness.

I think topic was very good, leave faith and culture aside. What motivate women to reveal body?
is it just fashion?
wanna be looked as ultra modern?
want to show off how fit figures they have got?(somthing guys also do if they have worked out a few)
or
its just to seek attention of opposite or same sex?
some may say oh just to be in comf dress, ok leave sleaves! what about the see throughs, skin tight fitting or cleavage show off?
I think I had this thread on this few years back here, but couldnt get a straight and simple answer. dont make this comparing to hijab etc. because decent dress can be in any shape or form not ncessarily full hijab.
I dont think there is any hidden agenda, its well open agenda! and reasons are one or more from above mentioned list.
come on girls - dare to dress, dare now to tell really the truth. regardless of faith culture or any other bound or restrictions.

women will wear really tight clothes like skinny jeans with some sleeveless top and then have hijaab...what is the point of this?...and then yet they go and complain abt other people who in reality look SO MUCH better then themselves

I have heard to enough arguments and seen enough cases.. Finally i came to a conclusion clothing actually shows the personality of a person... If u walk with sleeves top and mini skirt.. That would show how religious and how cultured ur.. and if u walk with proper clothing tat shows wat kinda personality u have got.. ofcourse i have also seen girl who wear hijab and does shameful stuff but lets not discriminate all the girls who wear hijab with good intention..
To answer ur question yeah i do wear short sleeves but never revealing clothes..
If i was in pakistan i would never wear those thing since it attracts alot of people to look at u which is not allowed in islam.. However if u wear the same hijab in western countries and cover urself top to botton.. actually tat would attract alot of people to look at u.. So it actually also depends on where ur living and wat circumstances ur in..
Aisha it is very easy actually for u to say tat since ur living in an islamic country and for u wearing sleeveless would not bee approperiate.. but i bet if u come to western countries u would change ur mind about wearing short sleeves..
I myself am against too much revealing clothing since there is a limit for everything..
Aisha there are alot of other stuff tat islam didn't allow us to do other then wearing sleeveless or revealing clothes..There is a saying tat don't throw stone at others house when ur own house is made of glass...

WHAT PROMPTS A GIRL OR A WOMEN TO WEAR REVEALING CLOTHES ESPECIALLY A MUSLIM WOMAN OR GIRL WHEN ITS NOT ALLOWED IN ISLAM AND WE SHOULD COVER OURSELVES AND PROTECT OUR DIGNITY INSTEAD OF ADVERTISING IT!
The Question should be what prompts a guy or a man to look at women with revealing clothes, when it certainly isnt allowed in Islam to do so

Here's why I don't understand: Why are women so irritated by what other women do? Why does it offend YOU if someone is wearing indecent clothes? Its their choice, and they've made their choice. Does it affect you? If so, how? If not, then why do so many of you in this thread really care?
I don't see this kind of enthusiasm from women when a guy does something naughty.
Furthermore, if you are really concerned about certain people you know wearing skimpy clothes, then why not tell them? Why vent about it online, and basically talk behind their back? Is that not wrong?

What if there is no limit in Islam, what if even its not banned by culture.
what would you ladies do? does dress to kill mean, it has to be less??
I really want to know psychology behind this, in plain terms its understood more revealing means more attention or glamourous they want to look.
leave every boundry defined in the universe! what would women do?

i agree with zayma i am happy with my body legallybrown even though i might not have one like yours and princess fiona one thing you are right about i am in a muslim country but before i wasnt i was in london but then also i covered up and acted modest. and if i come and stay in western countries i wont start wearing sleevless shirts.
i agree with Shak Kills 1 million % and i am not jealous of other 'WOMEN' whoeever they might be i am just highlighting their stupidity and ignorance. its not allowed in islam, WHY DO IT???
