It’s not that great either. You should try the chinese restaurant across the street from Jami Abu Bakr Masjid. I used to go there all the time when I was living in Scarborough… I miss it!:frowning:

I was in toronto this thanksgiving and luckys was horrendous. THe food was really really oily and there was absolutely no taste to it. I felt bad cause our hosts had gone all out in ordering and spent about $200 on that dinner!

I hate having to get hte same thing everytime and i cannot eat a veggie meal (only veggie thing i can eat is pizza or pasta).. a lot of the halal restaurants here are mostly desi.. There r some nice halal places in manhattan but too expensive to eat there on a regular basis :bummer:

hehe I visited wok with you when i was in toronto,,isnt it in scarborough? heard there was a chinese restaurant in toronto where the chinese staff speak urdu!

^ Most chinese restaurants that serve hakka chinese food (the one desi's like) the staff usually speaks urdu/hindi. Thats cuz these people spent about a generation or two in India/Pakistan before coming to Canada.

i don’t know if you’ve tried somalian food before…it’s pretty darn good.

there’s one called Hamdi’s in the Rexdale area…check it out. it’s got great food.
it’s at 18 Rexdale Ave..

Always find out about hygiene standards before you go to any restaurant in toronto. Otherwise you might end up with bloody diarrheoa

Hamdi's has good food and its ultra cheap. They dont always have whats on the menu and they could do a little better with their restaurant's cleanliness.

Milestones.. halal? I doubt it. Its a cracker joint why would it be halal :p

Hey is the nando in Lhr the same as the nando there?? Nandos’ was delish :yummy: .. oh and me and shweet went to Bamiyan (the one in manhattan) a coupla weeks before I left..food was great, but too spensive :frowning:
