I usualy go restaurant hopping like other day, having lunch at moxies, then dinner at Nirvana with a late night coffee at demetre’s…Been to like almost every desi , halal chinese , italian, thai, and greek restaurants.. out there around GTA area, and now i need something new to try. Any recommendations?
Currently on my list is to go check out some japanese restaurants..Anything particular i should try in japanese food?
After that, i am Probably indonesian restaurants.
Do you go alone? I haven't tried many because my schedules don't meet with most of my friends. When it does, everything is close :)
How is moxies? Planning to go for christmas lunch from work?
Try malasian. I don't like jap. food, so wouldn't even recommend anything. I am Sure you have tried most vietnamese resturants?
Ya its good. If you want a nicer enviroment to go with it - try bombay chopstix in Albion Mall (yes Halal).
Lin Garden (in scarbrough was good too). They opened a new one in semi-west GTA. Should be good.
Anyone tried Cleopetra? (Middle Eastern Buffet) 4165 Dixie road? I am suppose to go there but we went to HAVELI instead, since its tried and always good food
jal pari: thats up by victoria park and gordon rd? if so i been there…it was different taste..not bad!

princesMS: I usualy go with whoever wants to go along(friends, family, work) …moxies is good, not bad, more of a bar/restaurant scene, good if u go with people from work! also, i tried bombay chopstix..krapy haka based curry food, but good haka noodle style dishes etc..i havent tried lin garden yet..i’ll keep that on my list. Soul of the Vine/Far Niente in Toronto, Bay Street/Commerce Court area … there are also “The Duke” restaurants (one attached to the Eaton Centre, TD Centre, First Canadian Place), and these are traditional British style pubs. The fish and chips and calamari caesar salad there are just divine though. Milestones in Toronto is also good. I saw Keith Richards there once … he looks even older in person. For Italian, there is Joe Badali’s on Front Street which is pretty good. The Sultan’s Tent is another one on Front Street … only certain meats are halal though (I think only their lamb is halal), so be sure to ask them in advance.
Mehnaz: umm i been to milestones lots of times, they are actualy opening up one near heartland in sauga, so that should be interesting to check. One thing i noticed at milestone is that locations in other cities have different food etc… so its interesting to try new location sometimes. I will certainly check out the sultan’s tent, and the other ones u’ve mentioned. Joe Badali sounds interesting also, hows the atmosphere there? is it more of a bar/pub then a restaurant?
Joe Badali’s is a proper sit-down restaurant and it’s quite nice. I have only been to the Milestone’s downtown, can’t comment on the ones in Mississauga. If you are into seafood/cajun food, there is Big Daddy’s Crabshack and Oyster Bar. I prefer their location in the theatre district on King Street, downtown, but the one in Mississauga is o.k. too. It’s a Mardi Gras themed restaurant.
