Re: Respect of Women
Now try answering my question again...
If they do commit murder then they must suffer the consequence that the bad karma gives them ... surely murder earns bad karma, but I don't know for sure. Does it?

You don't need to be a Hindu to answer that question...
Hinduism just tells one - good actions = good results and bad actions = bad results. There is nothing about good actions = you are a Hindu and bad actions = you are not a Hindu.
If I commit theft, I would be punished by the law of the land but a Hindu priest will not order punishment for me based on Hindu laws. Thats the subtlety that you are probably unable to get.
Re: Respect of Women
^ Whoa that was another goal post move ... Bro we were talking about murder and karma ... please stay on the topic ... what is the karma consequence of murder?

Not quite sure what you are trying to debate here since you dont see the response even when it is right in front of you...
Re: Respect of Women
Ok ... but I still don't know if murder is a bad act ... you told me to guess and then neither confirmed or rejected.
Re: Respect of Women
Obviously its a bad act. Can’t believe you are seriously asking that question…
Re: Respect of Women
So if it's a bad act ... then how do know? You say it's obvious ... it's like saying my name is psyah ... its obvious ... but I need to show you my passport to prove it right?
And if it is bad then what is the consequence?

There is something called common sense which tells you its bad. And the consequence could vary from prison to death, depending on where you live.
Re: Respect of Women
So going to prison is bad karma? Please tread carefully here.
Re: Respect of Women
So going to prison is bad karma?
Karma is the action, its not the consequence. Going to prison is one of the possible consequences of a bad karma.
In Hindu philosophy, Karma refers to the totality of our actions and their concomitant reactions in this and previous lives, all of which determines our future.
Re: Respect of Women
psyah, by this logic then rape is allowed in Islam because there is no verse in the Quran which prohibits forced sex. In fact there are verses in there which allowed Muslims to have sex with slave woman (Islam Question & Answer).
Re: Respect of Women
Going to prison can be a consequence of good karma as well ...
:)
right?
Re: Respect of Women
Shoo go away!
Re: Respect of Women
Shoo go away!
Just pointing out your faulty logic. You don't have a problem applying your logic to Hinduism, but when it's applied to Islam (your own religion) then you say "Shoo go away!". Wow, what a double standard. :p

Re: Respect of Women
have no clue how far the discussion has gone and have no desire to be a part of it but going by how GS is compared to other forums, most pakistani muslim men here are very respectful towards women and look out for a female, i personally saw an example of it, is it just the mods working hard?
i don’t think so
Re: Respect of Women
nevermind
Re: Respect of Women
As u read about Islamic belief, a woman doesn’t allow marry more then one woman at a time. Tell me about hindu philosophy about proving zina, if u don’t mind.
Peace unos,
I can see there is nothing coming out useful from your comments. Here i would like to add that the slavery has been abolished by international agreement.
Peace Nisha25,

right?
No, as per Hindu philosophy it is the result of some past bad karma :)

As I mentioned earlier, Hinduism does not have an equivalent for Sharia. Hindu religious texts just talk about religious/spiritual beliefs and teachings. Issues such as adultery are dealt with by the law of the land.
