I have strong reservations on some of the point noted bellow :

1. you statement
   Humans are said to have accepted a Divine Trust with no clean intention to return that trust in tact…

What i understood, from you explanation and that You are implying that man is morally corrupt by nature … On top of that God has alrready issued decree that man is foolish and unjust. (In general sense as you put it )
So these are the salient features of so-called The best creature ( Ashraf-ul-makhlookat ). I assume God’s QA/QC dept needs major overhauling.

2. As per your explaination man could have chosen not undertake the trust and should have played safe. Let me quote

There is no severe admonishing in the verse. Allah (SWT) calls mankind unjust and ignorant. The trust from Allah (SWT) comes with a price … a price that we cannot possibly afford, but in haste we took it up. Our unjustness is our nature and our ignorance too. We took the task of taking the Trust when all others respectfully declined, because they were not looking for glory, but we were. They could see the potential in the harm outweighed the potential in gaining the glory. We were the ones who run with the risk. We are merely being called risky. Jannah is better than being expunged from existence, but being expunged from existence is better than being condemned to an eternal punishment. Those who refused saw the latter scenario as the prominent one, and correctly so too, we and even in our current state see a slim chance of success but treat it like as if it most likely to occur. Allah (SWT) tells us the odds are heavily against us. The refusal was the more sensible option, but the taking up of it has given us a chance to receive a reward. But merely agreeing to taking the Trust is neither laudable nor is it sensible especially if it can be seen that the odds are against us.

Besides man, there is atleast on other creature known to have ‘free will’ according to scriptures. They are Jinnat. Since all other creatures refused, it means they too did the same and politely declined to accept the trust. Now the question arises :

Will their fate be among those creature who refused to undertake the trust ? Will they be expuged from existance and lost in oblivion forever ? Will there be no questioning of their Aamaal on the day of judgment ?

Obviously NOT !

Free will comes with a price tag !

Despite not getting into trust relationship with God, this creature will be treated like man on the day of judgment, according to my understanding of scriptures.

So now how would you explain this obvious discrecpancies ?
