yeah, if it had been bunch of yahoos bowing down to it then it would be completely ridiculous, asinine, moronic, idiotic, etc.
Tomorrow jackasses from all over would be up in arms if a replica is created in vegas or some theme park. Why is this any different? I mean what purpose does it really serve, none..and if it serves some benign purpose, there shoud have been replicas in every city and village.

i have seen smaller replicas of religious buildings and they're a great reminder of the real thing. whatever the purpose, most likely it will be positive; and if every city and village do get one, then good for them, it still wont take anything away from the Holy kaaba since most folks generally tell the difference between the real thing and a replica.

Yes, As u can see from the video People are gathered around it. Basically, the Shias of Iran and Iraq are not very happy with Saudians and to show their contempt they have made their own Ka'aba the Shiite Ka'ba in Karbala. Be reminded that Karbala is a holy place for Shia's as Mecca and Medina are to Sunnies
