^ True. But as people say, it's called Bidah when you try to add something to religion hoping for reward. As far as 12 Rabi-ul-awal is concerned, it's also called Eid Mailaad-un-Nabi. Although Eid means khushi (I think), there are only 2 eids: Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. Quran in a binded format is not a related example because Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) had memorized it. Sahabas needed to copy it down because they and us wouldn't be able to memorize it. I am not sure about Trawis. Islam was complete upon the death of Prophet (PBUH). Whatever he did is the part of Islam, whatever he didn't do is not. That's what I believe.
