Deuobandis differe with the main stream Hanafis on matters of 'aqeedah and fiqh. So, they are not exactly strict Hanafis
Really brother? cause that is a news to me. I follow Deobandi school of thought and per my knowledge (which is not much, I must admit) Deaobandis follow the fiqh of Imam Abu Hanifa to the core.
Imam Abu Hanifa did not write a book himself but his students (like Imam Muhammad) compiled his lectures and that is what is taught in the Deobandi Madrasas.
