Re: Religious girl vs. the Mod girl…
Guys I think LAJJO was speaking about religious practising girls as opposed to those who are indifferent and not on that journey.
It isn’t about hijaab or beard or anything like that because what Sara mentioned is correct we cannot solely judge someone based on the fact that they have a beard or wear a hijaab.
I think he is correct. Let me put myself in his shoes and think as a woman what would I prefer.
(A) A normal muslim guy desi who is educated with a great career, good looks, nice family (plenty of them going round)
(B) A practising grounded muslim man who is involved in the community, has deen in his heart, prays regularly, seeks islamic knowledge, wants to abide by the halal and the haraam, makes decisions using islam as a guideline bot morally and ethically, who wants to bring his children up in an islamic environment, and so forth.
As a woman I would want to go for option B. Because I know that in the long run It will be more beneficial for me and he will make the better husband by far. Option A has everything but option B has much more to offer, I call it the X factor. The passion for deen, the love for ALLAH swt, the greed for knowledge is an extremely attractive attribute in someone and I guess that’s what LAJJO means when he says religious vs non- religious.
Oh and we are moulded by our views, our opinions and our eemaan, the hijaab and the beard come much later. The base of the person is inside. Yes Hijaab and beard are definately mandatory but then what is the point of having the outside without the inside?
You’re right, but unfortunately this all went into another hijabi vs nonhijabi debate, with ignoranamuses judging nonhijabi girls as bad Muslims and sluts..
