There are plenty of verses in the Bible that can be construed by some as condoning violence and intolerance. I'm not claiming the Bible to be above the Quran in that aspect. Chritians have been doing it for centuries.
There are plenty of nutjobs in leadership positions in the church today and I agree, they aren't concerned about communication, understanding or interfaith dialogue - only to consider themselves as righteous and other religions as dubious at best.
