Re: religion makes stupid people even more stupid
i did say atheists too. which irreligious people are you talking about that are closed minded? **does me submitting to islam mean somehow that i'm suddenly open minded to you?? **even if i've taken the time to study other religions........
Absolutely not. Who said you need to submit to islam? Did I give you any suggestion anywhere?
You questioned about Islam and Quran and its translation. I gave you another view. Should you be free to 'judge' others and not be given a response?
that's how you perceive God to be, one that "**is definable by his actions, wishes, commands......." **why impose your view of how God might be on others.no it does not clear anything up for me, gosh you talk like you know all.
Yes God can be definable. You said not. I said yes. I gave you the reasons how. You have no reason why not! See who is close minded? :)
*And it is your perception I talk like I know all....holier than thou. In fact I simply gave you counter responses. *
somebody I know, wasn't a very religious person before, more like a really fun person, a totally chilled out person but as soon as he was guided by a bunch of christian missionaries towards religion, he turned into this judgmental, totally prudish person with a holier than thou attitude that kind of stuck with only his new very religious christian friends after that, segregating himself from others. it's amazing how religion changes people so drastically, especially how they treat or view other humans.
*Good for him. He found something he liked. Better than those who don't even know what they like. *
*Regarding his holier than thou attitude, that might be the perception of others. He found friends he could relate to. He decided to change his idea of 'fun', different than yours. *
*So what is wrong wih that? He does not want to hang around with people he does not think good for him. Would you hang around with "strictly religious" people who do not see life and fun the way you see? *
you have your beliefs and i respect them but i will have my own beliefs, hope you're open minded enough to respect mine. you look happy with yours, i'm definitely very happy with how i see God, can we just leave it at that. so the discussion between you and me has ended from how i view it. this thread topic can go on and on.
*Yep, you keep hoping for others to be open minded, but your own attitude is exactly opposite. Let religious people do what they want then. *
*Do not judge them of being not fun loving (fun in your sense), holier than thou or closed minded or should I say,... stupid! *
