sorry was a bit busy in the nonvirtual world and forgot about this thread, no i never said that i see God as anything,

Only reason I said was you wrote you wish God will take you out of difficult time.

I won’t be completely certain about anything concerning God. is it not possible to be open about this aspect of God. i’ll be the first one to say “i don’t know anything about God but I need to believe God exists”.

OK.

I do respect religious people, but some religious people of some religions do resort to arrogance, judgment, closed mindedness and stubbornness just as much as atheists do sometimes right? but in terms of morals and such yes i do respect that religious side. but both atheists and religious people seem programmed.

They are not religious people. But even irreligious people can be arogant or colsed minded. So why blame religion?

i can’t see myself belonging to either group. i am thinking and pondering and i won’t submit to arrogance or prejudice, I hope you understand what i mean.

**Don’t you think you are putting a lot of unnecessary weight on arrogance or prejudice? Not all religious people are arrogant. Majority is still minding own business and have no time to judge others also. They are just happy the way they are. **

one thing somebody had said to me which baffled me a bit was, If you say God/Allah is undefinable aren’t we in fact defining him/her/it by saying that God is undefinable…hmmmm so even in that aspect i don’t know anymore

Who said God is not definable? The person used wrong word/analogy and hence brought wrong conclusion.

**God is certainly definable in terms of his actions, wishes, commands but he cannot be placed in the definable boundaries. Hope that clears up a little. **
