Why is faith in question? If it is good then it is good.
Unfortunately, actions are judged by faith therefore faith get bad name.

Nothing is absolute wrong or right. What is right for you might be wrong for me. What was wrong yesterday is considered right today. Things change / ideologies change so does human values including faith.
People do use faith for bad deeds, so one should think of the boundaries where goodness of faith disappears. Just wanted to know such things, when faith crosses its boundaries.

There are different forms of morality, most in west subscribe to relative morality. I like the idea of consequential morality. Any sets of philosophies may produce grim consequences. I like to subscribe to principles of humanism and they seemed to have produced the best results.

Faith is great as long it's being practiced at personal level and does not interfere into any other individuals rights of life, liberty, justice, freedom of speech, and pursuit of happiness.

Religion/Faith is good as long as spiritually illiterate among the masses don't start dissecting the holy scriptures, changing their application to suit their own convenience, and in some cases turning to amend it for the sake of compatibility.

I think the people (spiritually illiterate: I liked the terminology BTW ) teggy is referring in his post are major reason for the problem highlighted by TLK in his post.

Need of hour is to understand core of faith with open heart... accept differences of other communities...

'My religion / sect is right, all others are wrong' attitude will never let the bold part happen. Just answer one question: Is there a place in Muslim paradise say for a Hindu? Will a sunni will share jannat with a Qadiyani? While replying to these questions, most people will lose their tolerance and acceptance of others.

But don’t you know that such attitude is not present among those who are thekedar of religion. They are eager to distribute who is jannati and who is dozakhi (May be they think that like Prophet announced Ashra Mubashra, they got right to announce thousand who can enter paradise and who can’t).
