not really. bangladesh is 20% hindu by population even today, west bengal is 25% muslim. punjab is like 0% hindu on the pakistani side and 1.5% muslim on the indian side - made life literally impossible for the minorities for years after partition violence. shameful. nor do bengalis from both sides go overboard when they talk to each other the way punjabis do.
