Relatives back in India

Re: Relatives back in India

I’m equally stunned that someone who has otherwise progressive views can express this particularly knowing what it’s like to be generalised. Even my conservative and liberal friends living in Pakistan don’t assume/hate those across the border as much.

Is it not possible that those relatives in India are reflecting back the same views? Surely someone has to take the positive approach and break assumptions.

PCG, please reflect on the comment you posted in another thread detailing the events involving the lady throwing trash and the Prophet(SAW)'s subsequent reaction as the way to behave. Please tell me if your words attempt to fit that. One should follow words in action. Do you not think painting an entire group as ‘inherently bad’ due to where they live or who they associate with is justified.

Actually forget returning negativity with kindness even if someone else returns negativity with kindness they are tainted or looked at cynically because they are Indian and by association ‘Hindu.’ Personally, just ask yourself if doing that is right?
