I guess the Indian media crowned her to be 'aishwarya of Pakistan' because they were impressed by her beauty and elgance.
No matter what you say, its so true that Indian actress, includeing Aishwarya cake themselves with MAKEUP. I have seen so many pics, that show tons of layers of white makeup on the face, especially in concerts.
Aishwarya might look 'pretty' but she is extremely unnatural, and it shows. Her features look like they are exaggerated by plastic surgery, plus so much tones of makeup on her face makes her look horrible. She wasn't a 'natural born beautitful'. Most of her 'beauty' is CONSTRUCTED, and marketed among the masses, AND IT SHOWS!!
Calling reema "aishwarya' isn't fair, because she has so many years of acting experience, and I would say most of her films would be flops, but her acting is MUCH more belivable, then stony Aishwayra.
*Talking about Aishwarya, I would say that indian actresses are 'normal' or even below average in looks compared to Pakistanis. The deference is that Pakistani models/actresses DO NOT have a great marketing/makeup artists, team that would build an IMAGE that can be consumed by the masses. *
Aishwarya (in looks) is no compared to our IMAN ALI, AMNA HAQ and so many others that don't look like half snake/half whitish ghosts and dracula. The difference is that Aishwayr's image is consumed and marketed very well, with a targeted audiunce in mind. She has a great team of makeup artists/designers and film directors to market her image for so many years.
IF your talking about acting, its shamful that AIshwarya hasn't learned acting compared to a size of grain, when she has acted in like, so many films!!
ITS ALL ABOUT IMAGE IN THE PUBLIC EYE, THE INDIANS HAVE IT, WE DON'T!!
And frankly Please don't compare Pakistanis to Indians, in looks, cause our people are more fairers, and even Indians themselves admit it.
Pakistanis can't be dancers and seducers like Aishwarya rai , and it would be much better if we try not to. We should stick to what's best, and that's our ACTING power , and story telling power. Our lady beautifuls like Iman ALI and Amna hAq should get a lesson in acting and then try to represnt Pakistan meaninggful way in the medium of Film!!!
Its true Reema looks extremely horrible in her films. And its also true that Aishwarya' popularity has been contructed by the IMAGE she built through her films. Again its all about marketing and stuff that we LACK, not in beauty or even acting.
Reema just looked little bit more 'natural' in real life than caked up l Aishwarya, that the indians were so used to, thats why they were taken aback. Its no big deal, We ain't denying Aishwarya her crown, but we ain't denying that Pakistanis have HUGE potential either.
Like I said Aishwarya's image has been built by her team. No doubt she looks good in her films. But she would be a 'normal' girl taken to be queen of a film industry coz of her markterts and her team. I would say that she is extremely average like most Indian actresess without their makeup artists.
This is a picture from her childhood. She has average FEATURES, and doesnt' look paticularly 'Beautiful'. But has been helped by her team of people to have such a popularity through her films.

Wow, quite the "war" going on here. Have any of you folks seen Reema & Aish in person or close up? Both of them?
I would say (with beauty being subjective):
- Aish does NOT represent the avg Indian..Meaning she is definately better.
- Reema is NOT the best Pakistani actress..There are "normal" girls who look better.
And I don't mean this in a derogatory way towards Indians/Pakistanis but the truth is that in India, Bollywood stars are 'manufactured' in a way to get the public interested. Whereas in Pakistan, the feeling is that respectable women don't go into Lollywood. So, the girl next door may end up being better looking then the film stars.
Just some observations.
