In our family, it's normally a tradition to use our mother's wedding dupatta as a veil.

Since i love ghoongat, did the ghoongat with my mehndi outfit which was from susraal, then had a red dupatta around me (which was my mums) after the Nikkah took it off...

We sometimes use the dupatta on the face for a short while on the mehndi, but not really on the wedding day itself
