Red Bridal - a dying trend?

I always considered red a colour for South Asian brides. However, I think this trend is very much an ‘outdated’ thing, or is it? Now you’re seeing Brides in light shades of peach, grey, baby pink, baby blue, light green…your every day summer colours basically. Now don’t get me wrong some of those bridals are abolutely gorgeous, truly beautiful, but part of me craves for the ‘dulhany’ red. I so want it back in the fashion. I believe red is a colour you really can’t wear on any or every occasion (why not wear on your big day?) , it is indeed a very special colour, I’d love to go for red for my special day so I can really feel all different and extraordinary , I mean colours like pink, peace, green could be all worn for birthdays parties. But where would you wear passion red with gold kaam? LOL

In Western countries, a bride doesn’t look like bride unless she wears white, I believe in Pakistan we very much used to have the same rule brides and red colour as well. Do you girls have a soft spot for dulhany red or am I the only one?

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

I got married this year and wore a red bridal... totally loved it. I always wanted to wear Red on my wedding day! :)

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

You go girl!

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

I love red bridals! On the whole, most brides do seem to have a touch of red of some sort on the baraat, and then the other colours you mentioned on the valima. I agree that other colours can be worn any time, and the traditional colour is red. However, I really don’t like the really paindu kind of red if that makes sense. I don’t like the look where the bride just seems to be drowning in a sea of red and gold, but it is a beautiful colour for weddings!

I don’t care what anyone says, inshallah I will definitely wear red on my wedding day, in trend or not. :snooty:

Red is THE color for a bride. I just like to have it complimented with another color.

I want to do pink and red…I love and pink and love red…:hinna:…I just need a man now…:hehe:

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

but i have also notice tht girls dosnt wear any more nosering :( brides dont look full bride without nosering :$ watt do u girls say???

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

Lots still do but some don't. I agree with you, that they do make a bride look more bride-like. But I guess, you have to find a size etc that suits you.

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

i have seen many girls, who dosnt wear nosering, even my cousins :/

i forced my sister to wear nosering to her wedding :p she was totally bridezilla :p
but i got whole fam on my site :p to force her to wear it :p at the end ;D she decided it
and was extremly happy for tht i forced her xD lolz... but again i have seen lots of girls
tht they dont wear nosering any more :(

but its own opinion to wear it or not (^^)

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

Well some girls don't have their nose pierced so the clip noserings seriously starts to hurt as the time pass. I don't think its worth the pain, that too on your special day.

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

I think Red will never be Out for brides, its soo pretty!

Re: Red Bridal - a dying trend?

Agreed! Red is THE classic colour for a bride, and I plan on wearing that, fashion or not!
