Over the last few years I’ve like had problems finding a good qualified eyebrow threader. Pls help and tell me where you guys go…all the places I’ve been I’ve found on rare ocassion someone who’s done the eyebrows nice only to find the next time I visit they’ve left and some trainee who like ends up messing my eyebrows comes in their place. And they know the trainee has messed up yet they dont want to even bother admitting it.So many have ruined my eyebrows now, im so fed up.
And, is it just me or like when you tell them you want thick, they think just bcos they think it looks good, to give ultra skinny eyebrows. One was soo bad that one side I had thick brows and the ends hairline thin. And why is it such a problem to level out eyebrows!!!
West London recommendations would be best but I’m even will to travel east london, central london if they are really good.
Re: recommendations for good eyebrow threaders in West London, and a bit of a rant!
where do you live?
I think some in central london are good and they dont even hurt...they dont use thread either. but its 20 quid.....i laughed at her when she said that and went to my local to do it 2 quid...but then once i had a facial done with this central london salon and eyebrow works for reduced to half price with the facial so i tried it. its painless and it looks great.and they all gorey. its the pakistani people doing your eyebrows that you gotta be careful of...
Re: recommendations for good eyebrow threaders in West London, and a bit of a rant!
thing is, it depends on the day too. like this woman called shereen i think, she did my eyebrows and they were lovely, next time i went i asked for her again, and she messed it up....silly****** and they all from pak/india no qualificiations at all.....
nadz123- southall, I can't believe I still haven't found anyone there! i'm not bothered if I find someone is surrounding areas as long as they do it well.yeah, I know that's so expensive but might have to go there. what's the salon?
aminas - LOL, you're right-my wording was not right.. what I meant was why don't they put threaders out to customers who are experienced as opposed to giving a someone who's never had a any threading practice and practices on a customer without customer given warning about it. It's a chicken and egg in a way- they need someone to practice on but it should be someone other then a customer unless the customer is willing!

Thanks
totally agree with each and every word you said. Same problem here in NJ.
I told the lady NOT to make it thin. she NODDED HER HEAD 50 times cause I said it 50 times before I let her touch my eyebrow. She still made the END part thin as a line can be. What part of my explanation and her 50 times nodding to it - she didn't understand?

Yeah it is quite hard to find someone these days who does good eyebrows.
Nowadays I've seen in some departmental stores they have eyebrow bars, they seem very professional.
My friend got it done and she said they are really good but the disadvantage was that there are always people watching you get it done while they are shopping!

Oh my god! i have the same problem! im not in london but where i live in england i go in first time and the head of salon is brilliant the next time i go in they completely ruin my eyebrows!
Last time i went in i came out crying because they were really thin and round:( i said please dont make them tooo thin and not too pointy..and i actually started crying in the salon atleast i didnt have to pay the stupid 10 pounds!
I went to a really good place on green street in london once called rose something maybe that can help you?
Re: recommendations for good eyebrow threaders in West London, and a bit of a rant!
ladies, this is why i can't recommend where i go personally because i have no brows to shape :)
all the places i'm mentioning are where my friends go/have been.
estee lauder charge £15 but it's redeemable on any product and they do take their time and do a good a job. i been twice with my cousin to do hers.
y'all just go to harrods or where-ever Shavata is now based and let her sort you out. you only need to go a few times a year if you can maintain the shape yourself at home for the rest of the time.
I go to Sajna's in Tooting, South West London. They charge £3.
omg uzzy. i keep telling these london gals to go there for their bridal stuff as I was really surprised to find that my cousin's wife had her walima hair/makeup/duputta done from there as she was looking really good - but no one listens! almost everyone know i knows goes there for threading and waxing though.
Re: recommendations for good eyebrow threaders in West London, and a bit of a rant!
I concur with stoppit, for eyebrows it's Shavata all the way :) Go to her Brow Studio on the 5th floor of Harrods.... i have very fine hair anyway, so re-growth is every 6 weeks, but i go to Shavata personally.... £34 if you want her, £24 if you want one of her team.
Vaishaly Patel is also pretty good, her place is in W1, Paddington St. She charges £45 and it's £30 with one of her team.
I know it sounds pricey, but if you get one of these pros to make your eyebrows look immaculate, then the upkeep is left to you... you don't have to go all the time, maybe twice, thrice a year...
And they do say that your brows are the windows to your eyes, so you want them to look as good as possible ;)

So are they using wax? What do they use to shape your brows at this salon? Just curious. :) A painfree method is always worth investigating!
