Re: Recommend a diet..
Follow the "stop eating so much" diet.
In all seriousness, your current weight is fine for your frame....if you want to tone up then hit the gym.....hard.
Hope you have a great wedding!

Re: Recommend a diet..
exactly so why would anyone want to go on any such diet?!? It is unhealthy if you are not eating all the necessary nutrients you need and it negatively affects your metabolism leading to increased wt gain once you stop. Would be easier if you eat healthy and lose wt slowly that you can maintain.
Im not endorsing this diet. The OP wanted a diet that would help her lose weight for her wedding, and this is a diet that is going to make her lose weight. I am not a doctor, nor a nutritionist, I was just answering her question. Dont shoot the messenger!
Re: Recommend a diet..
Sorry for coming off as rude, that wasn't my intention. I happen to be a nutritionist hence I tend to get all serious about these issues. I shall calm down :)
Re: Recommend a diet..
if you are really serious, and you have your mind set on losing the weight.....my bhabi started the protien diet, and she lost a lot of weight. She was never fat, but she slimmed down alot.
Basically you can only eat meat and vegetables (but no potatoes, corn, peas, carrots). You can also have cheese (but not milk, yogurt). If you drink chai or coffee, you can only put cream in it (no milk or sugar).
Dont eat any sweets, no fruit (it has lots of sugar and carbs), no rice, no roti, no pasta, no coke or 7up (or any other pop), no potatoes, no corn, no peas, no carrots.
Go online, and look up "Atkins Diet", it will tell you step by step what you can and cant eat!
I am getting married in March and want to lose weight, but I love food too much! I just cant diet! I would rather kill myself at the gym then give up food! But I have stopped eating sweets! and it has helped a little bit!
thanx alot :)

how much weight reduction is normal in 2 months time?? like how much Kgz should i reduce that is not going to be unhealthy??
Re: Recommend a diet..
stop eating TRIFLE ![]()
Re: Recommend a diet..
khatam ho gya..buss ab nahi khaun gee
Re: Recommend a diet..
Seriously people stop this nonsense of eating healthy, losing gradually etc etc.. I'm not fat at all, but if im getting married in 2 months, I would do anything to shed that flab. Like seriously, I have seen many people doing the extreme diet and they all found the success.. of course you will gain back if you pig out.. that's with anyone not just someone who did the yoyo, Atkins diet only.. So please help the OP or don't participate at all.
Re: Recommend a diet..
OP try this.. just eat once a day (anything you like) but in a minimal amount. It'll be difficult (since losing weight in any way is hard) but your stomach will shrink in two days, and wont feel the hunger and you will lose at least 7lbs in a week. In between just drink water.
Re: Recommend a diet..
reallyy???![]()
wow:D
7 pounds a week which means 28 pounds in a months:eek:..
Re: Recommend a diet..
Absolutely girl!
Re: Recommend a diet..
Exactly.

Re: Recommend a diet..
No offence but what you said is nonsense! Also, I think you missed the fact that OP is not fat or has flab..her BMI is 20.7!
So you think you will be able to maintain eating one meal a day?!? I don’t think so, you are bound to eat more afterwords and mean while you BMR would have dropped and you would have lost water and muscle mass more than fat mass. Guess what your BMR is not going to increase overnight but you will eat more and guess wat else you will gain more wt than your original wt and it will be fat not muscle.
Neha, although I think you dont need to lose wt, a healthy wt loss is 1-2 lbs a week and even that is hard to keep up in a healthy manner but this is not considered drastic. I’m a girl too and I know what you mean wanting to look the best for your shaadi so what I think you need is to do some wt training to tone up and eat healthy so your skin wont look pale and worn out!
Re: Recommend a diet..
Just because your BMI is normal doesn't mean you got no flabs hanging out here or there. OP has asked for a quick fix not the "oh eat healthy, do exercise and weight will come off slowly" sure it will come off but when in 8 months? Since she is not fat to begin with, so all she needs is a strict diet. It's normal, every one does it for their dream day.. I'm not saying do it for the rest of your life but for quick results it wont kill you... and for the rest of your life, still eat one meal a day but in between eat raw fruits and vegetables, you will never be fat again..
Re: Recommend a diet..
To each their own! :)
Re: Recommend a diet..
Neha,
here's what I did/am doing. Canadiandesigirl feel free to let neha know if any of my advice I unhealthy as I did as much research as I could but who knows. I am also 5'8 and 62 kg so a healthy weight really but of course i did have excess fat in certain areas ie butt, muffin top etc which I wanted to loose as healthily as possible.
Firstly I cut out all junk, once a week I'll allow myself to indulge in something terrible for me but overall I've cut out all crisps, products wih refined sugar or flour, fried foods etc. I stick to a 1200 calorie approximately a day. I've also cut out refined carbs ie I only eat brown rice, whole wheat bread and pasta. I eat three regular meals a day with snacks in between. I try to avoid carbs for dinner and keep it light. A typical day would look this:
Breakfast: steel cut oatmeal with vanilla and cinamon, topped with field berries and Greek yoghurt
snack 1: almonds (10-20)
lunch: home made soup and salad ( with dressing and multigrain croutons)
snack 2: apple and carrots
dinner: chicken breast with some kind of sauce and stir fried veggies
Of course every day I vary what I eat but always make sure I'm eating something healthy with enough nutrition.
In terms of working out this is very key. I do 25 mins of cardio at least 5 times a week but I do interval training so it's fairly intense and as good as a slow paced 1 hr workout. I also do weights at least 5 times a week alternating betwen upper body and lower body so as not to fatigue one set of muscles. I have had very good results with this routine and of course every once in a while I will eat out etc and go over my calorie goals but as long as I mostly stick to the routine I'm fine. I've lost 18 inches on my body overall and 4 inches specifically off my muffin top which is great and it's been around 2 months. Hope this helps.

Some excellent points that I have bolded above!
The only thing that I would advice you and others is on the 1200 kcals diet. Assuming you are in your mid 20s (as I dont know your age) your basal metabolic rate is about 1450 kcals. That means your body requires 1450kcals to function even if you were in bed all day long and did not go any activity. I would only recommend a 1200kcals diet to someone who is overwt or obese and needs to lose wt asap for health reasons. I suggest you add some more calories to your diet. Another serving of carbs and fruits and veggies would be beneficial!
What your diet shows is that you don't need to starve yourself and limit your options significantly to lose wt and be healthy at the same time.
Re: Recommend a diet..
First of all congrats on your wedding Insha'allah. May Allah make everything easy!. Now, lady i think 60 kgs which roughly translates to 133lbs is absolutely healthy mash'Allah. I suggest walking after you have a meal. And eat little throughout the day. Keep yourself active. O ya and include green tea after your lunch and dinner to give your digestive system run smoothly!

OMG! I can't believe you said that! You could have suggested that she starts going to the gym regularly.
Re: Recommend a diet..
I have not read other responses.
Thats a little more than 20 pounds.
Just take anything with carbohyderate out from your diet. Sugar, sweets, rice, bread/pizza and potatoes etc. with easy regular exercises enough to get you sweaty…not like marathon running.
You will lose weight like falling from sky.
