You are so right!! Miami restaurants are pretty yuckkkky.....but heard there's a cook from PIA at Mehfil and they're food has improved BIG TIME! especially this boneless ginger chicken creation that's just mouthwatering yummmmmy!
In London, it would definitely have to be Tayyabs (mixed grill is too good esp. chomps!) and Mirch Masala in 2nd place...
Now, lots of angrez ppl go on about how wonderful tayyabs is, but i am put off by 2 things:
1 - it has similar fare to those desi restaurants in southall, which have all gone downhill - all the food tastes the same in all restaurants in southall.
2 - IT GIVES U A DODGY TUMMY AFTERWARDS!!!
Now please can someone verify this, as i personally know 2 friends who have succumbed to delhi-belly after dining there. I don't want to be a victim too!

Re: Recomend your fav desi resturants in different cities
nope, and my buddy and i are waiting and the manager is its okay go get your food, and there is a valima going on all the men are sitting women are taking food. i said it does not seem right..manager says well they knew its a shared buffet to which i replied thats a diff issue, right now the men are not getting food it will be inappropriate for me to go and get in line with the ladies even if it is not my party, but god bless desis they have no sense of etiquettes and he just did not understand why i was reluctant to go.
so as ladies were done, and men got up we went and got in line, and some gentleman tried pushing me off and giving me dirty looks, some statements like, are they invited etc. I mean the hosts knew it was a shatred buffet but obviously they did not announce it to theie guests.
my view is that is their issue and the restaurants isse but as a paying customer i should not be placed in such a situation.
worse was when begum and hey pal went to get food and they were in jeans and sweaters in a sea of gharaara and shararas etc being stared at.
not going there atleast not on the day they have a buffet and some event.
to add insult to injury...kids under 5 are free per the waiter but then in the bill first they charged full price then they just gave us half charge for kids..3 of the kids there are 3 yr old and one is 6.
